Dear Australian Afghan friends, on this page I encourage all Afghans to talk about Afghan community needs, sharing your views and your ideas. Please share anything exciting which can help other community members could be benefit from. Creating this page has provided me with a sense of hope that Afghans who are seeking advice and help can ask complete strangers for assistance without the sense of f

eeling judged or criticised. I often hear people 'advising' others to hide their problems and not talk to anyone about it, with the fear that others will gossip or criticise them. I believe we should all learn from our mistakes and be able to help others learn from our experiences. This page has been designed to be your support base, to ask all your questions. We are all here to help one another in any way possible. You can message the page and your questions will be posted anonymously or if you like you can write on the wall to interact with others directly. We are all human and we are not all perfect. Please read the Code of Conduct and be familiar with the respectful requirements of this page. There are only a few of them but they are very important in creating an harmonious environment. فرار از فضای حاکم کابل در روز سقوط جمهوریت، سرآغاز یک دشواری تازه برای رویا دادرس، سخنگوی اسبق وزارت امور زنان بود.

او که با بازگشت طالبان به قدرت مجبور به ترک وطن شد، پس از ورود به آسترالیا روزهای سختی را با افسردگی سپری کرد. اما او امروز به عنوان یکی از فعالان جامعه افغان در آسترالیا و رئیس یکی از نهادها، برای توانمندسازی زنان مهاجر و پناهنده تلاش می‌کند.

با وجود فرصت‌های زندگی در آسترالیا، زنان مهاجر افغان در شهر دور افتاده شیپرتون، از کمبود فرصت‌های شغلی مناسب و موانع زبانی گرفته تا کمبود دسترسی به خدمات صحی و آگاهی‌های خانوادگی و حتی خشونت، با چالش‌های خاصی دست‌و‌پنجه نرم می‌کنند.

در حالی که زنان و دختران در افغانستان با محدودیت‌های گسترده در زمینه آموزش و اشتغال روبه‌رو هستند، محدثه میرزایی، یکی از نخستین زنان پیلوت افغانستان، توانسته است به یکی از بلندترین جایگاه‌های حرفه هوانوردی در بلغاریا دست یابد.
او پس از مهاجرت به اروپا و پشت سر گذاشتن چالش‌های فراوان، چند ماه پیش به مقام کاپیتانی هواپیماهای مسافربری رسید و چهار استرایپ کاپیتانی را بر شانه‌های خود گذاشت.

تازه‌ترین گزارش انستیتیوت صحت و رفاه آسترالیا نشان میدهد که وضعیت سرطان در این کشور در حال تغییر است. در حالی که موارد سرطان دهانه رحم در میان زنان جوان کاهش یافته و آسترالیا به حذف این نوع سرطان نزدیک می‌شود، اما سرطان روده در میان جوانان بیشتر تشخیص می‌شود. این گزارش نشان می‌دهد که موارد سرطان روده در میان جوانان ۳۰ تا ۳۹ ساله طی ۲۵ سال گذشته تقریباً سه برابر شده است. این گزارش همچنان برای نخستین بار تصویر جامع‌تری از وضعیت سرطان در میان بومیان آسترالیا و باشندگان جزایر تنگه تورس ارائه کرده است.👇
