Today we celebrate the ocean that connects us all.

Our oceans regulate climate, support incredible biodiversity, provide food and livelihoods, and inspire wonder across generations. Yet they face increasing challenges from pollution, habitat loss, and climate change.

At Association ELI-S Australia, we believe that education, research, and community engagement are powerful tools for creating a healthier future for our oceans and the people who depend on them.

This World Ocean Day, we invite you to take one small action for the sea—reduce waste, make sustainable choices, learn something new about marine life, or share your passion for ocean conservation.

Together, we can protect what connects us all.

We’re proud to share a milestone for Association ELI-S Australia 🌊🐋
In January, we delivered our first educational workshop for preschool students at Guardian Childcare & Education Maroubra.

Twenty young learners explored whales, ocean protection, and the why and how of recycling through an age-appropriate, interactive session designed to build early environmental awareness.

This marks an exciting step in our education and outreach journey — and the beginning of many more to come.

Clean Up + Create + Connect!

This isn’t just another beach clean-up — it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and care for our ocean!

Join Plastic Free Coogee, Randwick Marine Life, Trash Fish, and Association Elis on Saturday 9th November (10:00–11:30 AM) at Coogee Beach for a morning packed with:
Fun, hands-on activities
Jewellery-making from trash with Trash Fish
Fascinating marine life info sessions
Family-friendly fun for all ages

Let’s roll up our sleeves, learn something new, and show some love to our favourite stretch of sand.

Participate in ‘Clean up Australia Day’ with us tomorrow at Coogee Beach, Goldstein reserve. We will have our table displays as well and incentives for bottle donations too! Kids can participate in a beach clean scavenger hunt and receive a prize!
