We have named this angel Jacey. ❤️
He’s currently at the vet receiving intensive care. Last night, Jacey suffered a seizure, but thankfully the veterinary team were able to stabilise him. He was started on seizure medication.
This morning, Jacey seemed much brighter, and the inflammation had gone down significantly. Because of this, the vet team decided they wanted to move forward with his surgery.
As Jacey is unable to eat on his own, he will require surgery to repair and stabilise his fractured jaw with wires, as well as a feeding tube to ensure he receives the nutrition he needs during recovery.
His hospital stay will be extensive, and his recovery will be a long one. He still has a difficult road ahead of him.
Please consider donating towards Jacey’s care as we fight to give him the best chance possible and the life he deserves.
We also want to say a huge thank you to Bec, the kind soul who stopped after seeing Jacey lying in the middle of the road. She pulled over, moved him to safety, and reached out to us for help. Without her compassion and quick actions, Jacey may never have gotten the chance he now has.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Jacey so far and kept him in your thoughts. ❤️
