For many career practitioners, industry and employer connections are the backbone of creating success for students. We know that 70% of career practitioners want industry to be involved in student post-school planning, and are advocating for various forms of engagement with industry such as in-school presentations, job programs, development of resources, and an overall more substantial role in schools.
This year, Career Tools launched the first of many industry guides and lesson plans for schools that are developed in consultation with key industry bodies. Offering a free professional learning this week was another step in utilising Year13 partnerships to connect career practitioners and schools to industry.
As Australia shifts towards renewable energy, offshore wind farms will provide a new source of large-scale, clean and reliable electricity that creates huge new investment, jobs and innovation opportunities, especially in key regional centres.
On Tuesday 17th October, Year13 & Career Tools invited career advisers from around NSW to attend SXSW Sydney and hear from Oceanex Energy about the thousands of jobs that will be created by offshore wind projects.
