🎥 "3 Minutes with Academics" : A Fascinating Conversation with Associate Professor Pierre Le Clech from school of chemical engineering, UNSW, Sydney

Dr Pierre Le-Clech is an Associate Professor in the School of Chemical Engineering and is a member of the UNESCO Centre for Membrane Science & Technology. Since 1999, he has been a pioneer in membrane processes, focusing on water and wastewater treatments. As an expert in membrane technologies, Pierre explores innovative operating conditions, energy-efficient filtration, and in-depth understanding of rejection and fouling mechanisms. He actively contributes as an Associate Editor for Desalination and Water Treatment and serves on the Editorial Boards of Membrane Water Treatment and Process Safety and Environmental Protection.

Happy Friday all CERS-ians!

We hope your year is off to a fantastic start. As we all know, the new year often brings new resolutions, and we're excited to assist you in checking off your mental health goals! 🍃

CERS has organized a 'Yoga and Mind' event featuring Danielle, a yoga instructor from Botannix Yoga Studio. She will guide us through stretches, relaxation, and alignment exercises. The yoga class is tailored for beginners, so don't hesitate to join even if you're new to yoga. If you need a yoga mat, we're happy to provide one! 🧘‍♂️ 🧘‍♀️

Here are the event details:

📅 Date and time: 27th Feb, 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm (We will begin with a brief chat with the instructor & refreshments, followed by yoga)
📍 Venue: Arc Dance Studio
⚠ Requirement: Booking fee of $5, which will be REFUNDED upon attendance.

Please refer to the attached poster for more information. Additionally, Botannix Yoga & Pilates studio has generously offered us an introductory offer if you'd like to take a class with them at their studio!

🎥 "3 Minutes with Academics" A Fascinating Conversation with Professor Johannes le Coutre from school of chemical engineering, UNSW, Sydney

Professor Johannes le Coutre joined UNSW in 2019 as Professor – Food & Health. With the goal to strengthen food security and to alleviate the agricultural burden on the environment he is developing a broad research agenda on cellular agriculture. Current food systems around the globe will not be able to provide sustainable food security, and rigorous scientific investigation is required to deliver innovation for agriculture and food industry. He is teaching within the UNSW food program.
