Firstly, we want to apologise for being a little quiet this year. While we may not have been as visible on social media, our commitment to supporting families and individuals affected by domestic violence has never wavered.
As Christmas approaches, we are incredibly excited to share something new that we hope will make an even greater impact in our community.
For the past few years, our Christmas appeal has focused on providing brand-new toys and gift cards to children experiencing hardship. This remains an important part of what we do, and we look forward to bringing smiles to many children again this Christmas.
🎄 But this year, we're expanding our support. 🎄
In addition to helping children, we are launching a new initiative to create 100 Christmas Care Bags for carers and parents escaping domestic violence.
Often, the focus at Christmas is rightly on the children, but we know that the parents and carers who have shown incredible courage in leaving unsafe situations are often overlooked. These care bags will be filled with thoughtful items to remind them that they are seen, valued, and supported during what can be a very challenging time of year.
💜 Our goal is to create 100 gift bags containing practical items, self-care products, and small gifts to bring comfort, dignity, and a little Christmas cheer to those rebuilding their lives.
