What a wonderful week it has been following the incredible 15K+ milestone by our teams. We can't wait to share this great news with you. An awesome group of people around the world have got together to form The Awesome Foundation, with each Chapter containing a generous group of local people who keep sharing good in the universe, $1000 at at a time. Woo Hoo! We are celebrating as Awesome Foundation Sydney has kindly chosen us for the month of April. We have been awarded $1000 towards replacing our deck chairs in one of our pop up Safe Bases. These deck chairs have been problematic for us as the quality has dropped with chairs being made offshore and we have literally been churning chairs. This grant will enable us to move to aluminium chairs instead of timber and we are hoping these will give us the much needed service life that used to be the case. Outreach programs like ours, just don't have budget for chair churn. Thanks so much Awesome Foundation Sydney. To say that this has come at a good time is an understatement.

It is difficult to process and understand what has happened at Bondi Junction yesterday. Words cannot express the heaviness of heart that we are feeling for the victims and their families from this unexplainable violence directed at innocent people, a baby, a mother, everyday community members shopping in their local area. To the victims and their families, we are so very sorry for what you are going through and for your loss. We wish you comfort and care at this time.
The bravery of the community and courage of emergency services in dealing with this dangerous and confronting situation can never be sufficiently expressed in words. To the community members who also attempted to stop the carnage and to those who rendered all possible support to the victims until emergency services arrived please accept our thanks. Thank you to the NSW Police Officer who saved more lives through her bravery and to emergency services for all that they have done to help the victims and their families.
Our condolences and thoughts remain with each person affected by this horrific tragedy.

What a great event! Our incredible team had a great time supporting this event. There was such a happy, friendly cheerful vibe from attendees. Our team spent a significant period of time roving at the venue and chatting to people, sharing chupa chups and letting people know where to find us if they needed us. The Safe Base became quite popular for its support services. We started at around 2pm and were at NGH till atound 1045pm then shifted across to Wollongong Mall till 2am where we also assisted vulnerable individuals.

It's not often that we get a message like this, but when we do, it means a lot to our teams. More often than not, people we help are not in a position to remember who we are; if they do, it just may not occur to them to send a message.

Our Streetkind team uses and promotes different strategies to get people home safely, without judgment and with no expectations.

We love our new wristbands; now people know who helped them and how they got home safely.
