By doing so, we hope to engage students in their personal, social and professional development as musicians.

Hello fellow musicians! ⭐️🎶 The UNSW Music Society is opening an Expression of Interest form for T2 performance opportunities. Any genre! Any music! Any instrument!😆

This form will remain open throughout the term, but applications are on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to submit at your earliest convenience. And you don’t have to submit your exact piece, just one that showcases your skill 🥁🎺🎤

🎷 UNSW Music Society Jazz Ensemble recruitment is now open! 🎶

Keen to play jazz, meet other musicians, and be part of an ensemble this term? We’re looking for committed and enthusiastic musicians to join MuSoc’s 2026 Jazz Ensemble.

Applications are open to saxophones, trombones, trumpets, bass, drums, keys, vocalists, and anything else you deem worthy for jazz! Whether you’re into standards, improvisation, grooves, solos, or just want to play music with other people, we’d love to hear from you.

Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis, so make sure to register as soon as possible!!

🎸🎹 CALLING ALL BASSISTS & KEYBOARDISTS 🎹🎸

Want to collaborate with other musicians, rehearse regularly, and perform in a live concert setting? MuSoc’s 2026 Pop/Rock Ensemble is currently looking for a bassist and/or keyboardist (pianist) to join the group for T2! 🎶

Formed in Term 1 2026, the ensemble already includes vocalists, guitarists, and drummer; and we’re excited to welcome some new members to complete the lineup ✨

As an Ensemble Member, you can expect:
🎵 Regular rehearsals throughout the term (likely twice a week depending on availability and room bookings)
🎵 Independent practice where required
🎵 The opportunity to perform at MuSoc’s dedicated Week 7 Performance Night 🎤

You do not need to be a professional musician to apply, we’re looking for people who are reliable, collaborative, and enthusiastic about making music in a group setting 💫

Please note:
🎸 Bass guitars will not be provided, so bassist applicants must have access to their own instrument.
