This month, we're proud to recognise Kerry for her dedication, positivity, and willingness to support others. Through volunteering at Success Works, Kerry has embraced new opportunities, built confidence, and discovered a pathway towards her dream career. Her story is a wonderful reminder of how volunteering can change lives and strengthen community connections.

We asked Kerry how has volunteering changed the way you see community, connection or support?

Kerry: "I didn’t realise volunteering could create such a strong sense of connection. Before joining Success Works, I didn’t think I had any skills to offer. Through volunteering, I’ve gained confidence, discovered my strengths, and learned that I’m capable of achieving more than I ever imagined.

Volunteering has helped me face challenges with a positive mindset and shown me the value of community support. One thing I love about Success Works is how the team encouraged me to believe in my dreams. Through hands-on opportunities, I’ve discovered a passion for mechanics and now feel confident pursuing a career in the industry.

The experience has taught me that learning new skills is always possible and that everyone has something valuable to contribute. I can’t wait to continue helping others and giving back to the community that has supported me." 💙

💜 Giving Back, Together at ReLove 💜

Recently, the Success Works team spent an incredible volunteer day with the amazing team at , supporting individuals and families as they prepared to move into new homes and start a new chapter.

Our volunteers divided into teams, with some accompanying ReLove's truck and van on morning deliveries, while others worked in the warehouse helping organise, style, and walk alongside clients as they selected the furniture and household items they needed to create a home.

What made the day even more special was the opportunity to bring along some of our candidates. Their participation added a new level of connection and purpose to the experience, and the feedback was truly heartwarming.

Many shared that they felt included, valued, and part of something bigger, with the day providing an opportunity to build confidence, develop new connections, and give back to the community alongside our team.

At Success Works, we believe everyone deserves the chance to contribute, belong, and thrive. Seeing our candidates and team members working together to help others was a powerful reminder of the impact that community, inclusion, and opportunity can create.

💜 Giving Back, Together at ReLove 💜

Recently, the Success Works team spent an incredible volunteer day with the amazing team at ReLove, supporting individuals and families as they prepared to move into new homes and start a new chapter.

💰 The cost of keeping one person in a NSW prison is approximately $170,000 per year, while supporting a woman into training or sustainable employment through Success Works costs around $11,000.
Through mentoring, training and employment pathways, Success Works helps women build confidence, independence and brighter futures.

The results speak for themselves: women engaged with Success Works experience a recidivism rate of 11.5%, compared with 50% across NSW.
