Success Works

We are nearly a week into Mental Health Month! 🫂 And we want to remind everyone that a little connection goes a long way.

Success Works encourages small, achievable action to reduce stigma, support community wellbeing, and foster understanding of identity, values, and circumstances.

Whether it’s checking in with friends, families, colleagues, or yourself, simple acts can make a huge difference to our mental health.

Everyone’s journey is different, but you are not alone.

We are thrilled to share that Success Works Partners Inc has been awarded a $20,000 Commonwealth Bank Staff Foundation Community Grant.

A special thank you to Gregory Kollios, whose nomination recognised the impact of our work and helped make this funding possible. We are incredibly grateful for his support and belief in our mission.

This grant will enable us to expand our mentoring program for women impacted by the criminal legal system by supporting:
✅ Recruitment, training and coordination of volunteer mentors
✅ Trauma-informed and strengths-based mentoring training
✅ Ongoing support for mentor and mentee matches
✅ Program materials and access to our online mentoring platform

With this investment, we will be able to support more women to build confidence, improve wellbeing, strengthen connections, and move towards meaningful employment pathways and long-term stability.

We are honoured to be one of 180 community organisations across Australia receiving a Community Grant this year and look forward to creating even greater impact in the communities we serve.

Thank you so much Community Restorative Centre (CRC) for having Natascha share the work we do at Success Works. We’re proud to support women to move forward, build confidence and create meaningful employment pathways. 💜

For women rebuilding their lives after incarceration, having a criminal history is a significant barrier in finding employment.

Last week CRC staff attended a presentation by Natascha Consigli of Success Works , discussing how they create employment pathways to support women with criminal histories in NSW.

Success Works is a not-for-profit social enterprise transforming the lives of women affected by the criminal legal system, by providing them with employability skills and empowering them to present themselves to an employer who sees their skills and potential and not their record.

The presentation discussed the stages of support that Success Works provides, including job readiness workshops, skill-building and mentoring, right up to post-employment support.

✨ Candidate Volunteer of the Month ✨

This month, we'd like to acknowledge Latai for her ongoing commitment, positive attitude and the genuine contribution she makes as part of the Success Works volunteer team.

Latai began volunteering as a way to meet new people, build her confidence and stay connected while looking for work. What started as an opportunity to give back quickly became a journey of personal growth, learning and connection.

Through volunteering, Latai has discovered just how capable she is.
“I've learned that I'm more capable than I sometimes give myself credit for. Every time I show up, try something new and step outside my comfort zone, I feel more confident. It's reminded me that it's never too late to learn, grow and start a new chapter.”

When asked how it feels to be named Volunteer of the Month, Latai shared:
“Honestly, I'm really honoured and grateful. I didn't expect to be chosen, so it means a lot to have my efforts recognised. I've really enjoyed volunteering with Success Works and being part of such a supportive group. It makes me want to keep showing up and doing my best.”

💜 Thank you, Latai, for your dedication, positivity and willingness to embrace new opportunities. Your story is a wonderful reminder of the power of volunteering to build confidence, create connections and open new chapters in life.

✨ Interested in getting involved? If you're a Success Works candidate and would like to volunteer, we'd love to hear from you. Contact our team to learn more about volunteering opportunities and how you can build confidence, develop new skills and connect with others in your community.

💜 Giving Back with Share the Dignity 💜

This week, our Success Works candidates came together for a meaningful volunteer day supporting Share the Dignity, an incredible Australian charity that helps women, girls and anyone who menstruates experiencing homelessness, domestic violence or financial hardship.

Over coffee, conversation and creativity, our volunteers spent the morning writing heartfelt notes and messages of encouragement for the charity's It's in the Bag donations. These small acts of kindness help remind recipients that they are seen, valued and supported during difficult times.

The day was filled with connection, compassion and community spirit, giving everyone the opportunity to make a positive impact while building confidence and forming new friendships.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed their time and kindness. Together, we helped spread a little more dignity, hope and care to those who need it most. 💜

📍 The Success Works Test & Tag team attended the Tradie Breakfast at Bunnings Warehouse Australia in Alexandria this morning, connecting with local tradies and businesses to discuss testing and tagging requirements and the importance of staying compliant on site.

It was a great opportunity to build awareness around electrical safety and compliance, and to talk about how non-compliant equipment can lead to costly delays, downtime, and unnecessary safety risks.

At Success Works our Test & Tag team is committed to providing reliable, efficient, and cost-effective testing and tagging solutions that help keep businesses compliant and projects moving without interruption.

We enjoyed meeting everyone who stopped by for a chat and look forward to continuing to support tradies and businesses with practical compliance solutions that fit their workflow.
