Great work! Congratulations to all the Sydney North Scouts and all the other scouts on their hard work!

The achievements of 59 Scouts were recognised at two Australian Scout Award ceremonies at Baden-Powell Activity Centre on Saturday. Eight Scouts who were presented with their Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

Scouthike 2026 – “Generational Adventure” was held last weekend, bringing together one of the biggest youth Scouting gatherings in NSW. Proudly run by Sydney North Region, its districts, and SN Rovers, this Region‑run event welcomes Scouts, Leaders, Rovers and Vennies from anywhere in the state to take part in a truly generational challenge.

Across the weekend, around 800 Scouts and 570 supporters descended on Belanglo State Forest for a weekend of fun, adventure and friendly competition.

Scouts set out in patrols, powering their way through the forest and taking on more than 30 activity bases, each one crafted to level up their skills, boost their confidence, and unlock a new achievement in their Scouthike journey.
The vibe all weekend was next‑level: Scouts laughing, solving problems on the fly, navigating like pros, and building real‑world skills that won’t just disappear when they log off from the hike.

It’s no wonder Scouthike continues to be the biggest lightweight hiking event in NSW and the largest annual youth event run by Sydney North Region, it’s basically the ultimate IRL adventure for Generation Outdoors.

ScoutHike 2026 has its champions and they absolutely earned it - Guess We’re Camping Here from 1st Tambourine Bay

They, stormed through this year’s event with a massive 3014 points, securing the top spot with a performance that was equal parts grit, strategy, and sheer determination.

They didn’t just win, they dominated.
Over 27.1 km of terrain, they pushed through challenge after challenge, completing almost every base along the way. That kind of consistency is rare at ScoutHike, where fatigue, navigation, and time pressure usually catch up with even the strongest teams. But this patrol kept their pace, kept their focus, and kept racking up points.

3014 points is a seriously impressive total, the kind that comes from both skill and smart decision-making.
27.1 km on foot is no small feat, especially with packs, checkpoints, and the constant mental load of staying on track.
Completing almost every base shows they weren’t just fast they were thorough, prepared, and adaptable.

🏆 A well‑earned victory
ScoutHike rewards teamwork, resilience, and the ability to stay sharp under pressure. Guess We’re Camping Here embodied all of that. Their name may sound like a joke, but their performance was anything but.
