Farmers wishing to donate hay to VIC farmers affected by the recent fires, a drop off point has been set up Lardner Park see detail in shared post

ATTENTION FARMERS 🚜
For those wishing to donate fodder to farmers affected by fire through the Need for Feed Australia initiative, a drop-off point has been set up at Lardner Park. You can make deliveries between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday via Gate 3. We’ll have a tractor with hay forks available for unloading (please note that unloading assistance is unavailable)!

For donations of less than 15 round bales or an equivalent quantity, please deliver directly to Lardner Park. Also accepting working dog food and other pet supplies! Every little bit helps. 🙏

For donations exceeding 15 round bales or equivalent, on-farm pick-up can be arranged through Graham Cockerell - Lions - Need for Feed. Please contact him at "Need for Feed" by calling 0359-444111 or 0459-444111

Thinking of those affect by the flood

Do you need help following the flood? Agriculture and Animal Services Functional Area program (AASFA) can support stock owners with:

• Animal assessment and veterinary assistance
• Euthanasia of animals on welfare grounds
• Emergency fodder and/or emergency stock water (for up to three days where there is an immediate animal welfare concern)
• Livestock feeding and management advice

Call the AASFA emergency hotline at: 1800 814 647.

The AASFA emergency hotline is operating 7 days - 8am-6pm.

EDIT Our Hay Run Has been postponed until the following week, now all going on one boat.
New dates below.

We’ve got 500 tonnes, or 770 bales of this oaten hay to shift next week from Swan Hill area to meet one of the 3 boat loads for King Island, along with 200 tonnes of cattle pellets in 1 tonne bulka bags.

If you have a truck and trailer and are able to help anytime from Thursday May 16th. through to Saturday the 18th. jump onto our website to register and let us know your availability.

It’s about 35 truck loads so can be potentially multiple loads over those days
