One thing that’s for sure when you’re building a brand and running a business, is that you don’t get to pick the days, let alone the weather conditions.

In 40-degree heat, we spent the day wrapping gifts at a Christmas market - sunburnt, blistered, and more than once very close to closing shop and saying “let’s pick this back up again tomorrow”.

When you care deeply about something and genuinely want to make a change, there are so many moments where it would be easier to not show up. To put it off. To wait for a better day.

But days like this are the reason why we started Givewrap in the first place.

Every customer we met was a small moment that felt part of something bigger. And every gift we wrapped, every roll of wrapping paper we sold - makes a real difference and gives back to those who need it most.

The work that gets you closer to what you care about is rarely the easy option. And it almost never looks the way the outside world imagines it does. It’s messy, stressful and uncomfortable - but always always worth showing up for.
