What’s that big pink van?? Why it’s the BreastScreen NSW mobile screening van! 🚐

Visiting tons of locations across NSW, these vans provide FREE mammograms for eligible people. Screening at the van is just like an appointment at the clinic 💖

Let’s take you on a tour to see what you can expect:

· You’ll be supported by friendly professional staff and their modern equipment

· Come on in, fill in some forms, and get settled ✅

· You’ll have privacy to remove your top. Remember to wear a two piece outfit!

· The radiographer will work with you to make you feel comfortable

· X-rays will be taken to get a clear picture. Ask to stop anytime!

· You’re done ⭐️ Your results will come in about two weeks, and you can nominate your local doctor to receive your results as well

Appointments take around 20 min start to finish - that’s 20 min of your time every 2 years to protect your health 😊

Wake up babe, it’s time for your 5-yearly Cervical Screening Test! ⏰
 
Did you know that LGBTQ+ people are less likely to have a Cervical Screening Test than the general population? Everybody with a cervix is at risk of cervical cancer.
 
If you have a cervix and have EVER been sexually active (no matter with whom), you need to do a Cervical Screening Test every 5 years from age 25!
 
It’s that simple, 15 min every 5 years can save your life.

Our lung cancer screening hub had a blast at 🕶️

Big thanks to everyone who came by for a chat and learned more about lung cancer screening. And yes, this glory hole CAN save your life!

Our team at ACON are proud to support our LGBTQ+ communities with safe, inclusive, and affirming health information and services. ChillOut was a great event to bring the conversation about free screening and health, while celebrating love and life. 

We achieved a whopping 167 conversations about the National Lung Cancer Screening Program and how it can help detect lung cancer early! 💙

Seeing you all show up, ask questions, and be proactive about protecting your health fills us with pride. 

To our pledgers, thank you for spreading the word and letting your loved ones know about lung screening, give yourselves a big pat on the back! 🤗
