What if knowing could give you peace of mind?

For Liz, like many smokers, the thought of lung cancer was always in the back of her mind. When she heard about free lung cancer screening, she decided she wanted answers.

She spoke to her doctor, got a referral, and booked her scan.

Whether your scan is clear or something is found early, knowing means you can take the next step with confidence.

Early detection can make a real difference, and a clear result can provide reassurance and peace of mind.

If you think you may be eligible for The National Lung Cancer Screening Program, talk to your doctor or healthcare provider about getting screened.

We can’t change the past. But with lung screening, we can take control of the next chapter. 🫶

Despite smoking for more than 20 years, Ricki is taking control of her health by accessing lung cancer screening and making the most of her years ahead!

For Ricki, the National Lung Cancer Screening Program is also a conversation stater.

Because when it comes to your health, it’s always goodto know. Once you know, you can take the next step and the shadows of uncertainty start to disappear.

If you think you may be eligible for lung cancer screening, talk to your healthcare provider about taking control of your next chapter.

Because it’s good to know.

Cervical screening helps prevent cervical cancer!

If you’re aged 25-74, have a cervix, and have ever had any sexual contact, you can choose the screening option that’s right for you.

In most cases, you can choose between:
- A self-collected sample
- A clinician-collected Cervical Screening Test

Both methods are tested and effective, and most importantly you have the choice for what suits you best.

Screening can detect HPV before it causes changes to cervical cells, allowing for earlier treatment and helps to prevent cervical cancer.

If you have a cervix, staying up to date with cervical screening is one of the best things you can do for your health, no matter your gender or sexuality!

Many people know what it’s like for a “little habit” to become a long-term one.

Smoking rates remain higher in LGBTQ+ communities than in the wider population, and that can come with some concerns about what the future holds for our health. But you don’t have to navigate those concerns alone.

Lung screening is simple, free and finding it early can mean more treatment options if cancer is detected.

If you’re aged 50 to 70 and have a history of smoking, you may be eligible for the National Lung Cancer Screening Program.

For many LGBTQ+ people, smoking was considered a norm in the club scene, both in the past and up until today.

If you currently smoke, or have in the past, it’s good to know there’s a way to detect lung cancer early, before symptoms appear.

If you’re aged 50 to 70 and have a history of smoking, you may be eligible for the National Lung Cancer Screening Program.

When it comes to lung cancer, early detection can make a world of difference.

Learn more about who can screen and speak with your GP about whether it’s right for you.

💬 “Don’t feel nervous...the actual scan is 5 minutes”

Ron, a radiology nurse is already seeing eligible Australians taking part in The National Lung Cancer Screening Program.

He reminds us that the low-dose CT scan is quick and easy. Finding lung cancer earlier can help people access care sooner and explore more treatment options.
