Water Project Verification & Repair πŸ’§

A field verification visit was carried out for the Nyamrisra Health Center Project to assess its current condition and determine the repairs needed.

The assessment found that the water system is not currently working, affecting approximately 1,500 people. The maintenance committee has been engaged, and the proposed repair focuses on fixing the two main pipes to restore reliable water access.

Every verification matters because restoring safe, dependable water means restoring dignity, health, and opportunity for the community. πŸ’™πŸ’§

After fixing the disconnected pipe at Wasaria, our plumber Wycliffe takes a moment to enjoy the very water he helped restore. Moments like this remind us why reliable access to clean water matters. 🚰✨

Today is World Humanitarian Day. 🌍

There are people around the world who spend their days helping others through some of life's most difficult circumstances.

They work in communities, listen to people's needs, provide essential support and, often, simply keep showing up when the work is difficult.

Today, we recognise them.

At No Taps Foundation, our work with communities and access to clean water is one small part of the wider humanitarian effort to make sure people can meet their basic needs and live with dignity.

To everyone doing this work, and to the communities at the heart of it we see you, and we appreciate you.

Imagine spending 3 hours of your day every single day just carrying a heavy bucket of water.

That is the daily reality for Mandela and Kofi during the dry season. Instead of sitting in a classroom, playing with friends, or simply being kids, their mornings are spent walking miles under the harsh sun just so their family can survive.

No child should have to carry the weight of a water crisis on their shoulders.

At NO TAPS, we are working to change this narrative. Clean water isn't a luxury; it’s life, health, and a real chance at an education. When we bring water closer to home, we give kids their childhood back. πŸ’™

Swipe to see the truth behind their journey, and help us turn those 3 hours into a future full of possibility.

Three things we've learned from working around Lake Victoria. 🌊

Working with communities around Lake Victoria has reminded us that clean water projects are about more than installing a system and moving on.

Here are three lessons that continue to shape our work:

➑️ A good solution has to work for the community.

Something can be technically sound, but if it doesn't fit the way people live and use water, it won't have the impact we hope for.

That is why listening to communities matters.

➑️ Sustainability starts from the beginning.

We have to think about what happens after a project is completed.

Who will look after the system? What happens when maintenance is needed? How will the community continue to manage it?

These questions need to be part of the conversation from day one.

➑️ Impact needs evidence.

We want to tell the stories of the communities we work with, but we also want to be able to show what the work has achieved.

That means being open about what we do, how resources are used, and what happens after a project is completed.

There is always more to learn, and the communities we work with are an important part of that learning.

What do you think is most important for making a development project last?

Every tap counts and every single metric represents real, tangible impact. πŸ’§βœ¨

By deploying sustainable, solar-powered water solutions across marginalized communities in Lake Victoria, we are driving long-term change from the ground up. Through over 50 active projects delivering reliable, clean, and safe water, we have changed more than 25,000 lives by giving individuals the freedom to grow, learn, and thrive. Every single day, 100,000 litres of contamination-free water flow into these communities, returning over one million hours back to women and children who previously spent their days collecting water. Sustainable infrastructure creates lasting independence join us in making clean water accessible to all.

Breastfeeding is one of the most powerful ways to give a child a healthy beginning. But for many mothers around the world, that journey is made harder by the lack of access to clean and safe water.

Safe water is essential for maternal health, personal hygiene, and creating a clean environment where babies can grow and thrive. Every drop of clean water helps protect families, supports healthier pregnancies, and empowers mothers to care for their children with confidence.

This World Breastfeeding Week, we stand with mothers everywhere and renew our commitment to ensuring that every family has access to safe water because every child deserves a healthy start, and every mother deserves the support to provide it.

πŸ’™ Healthy Mothers. Nourished Babies. Clean Water for Every Family. πŸ’§

Breastfeeding gives babies the healthiest start in life but every healthy start also depends on access to clean and safe water.

Clean water supports mothers through pregnancy, breastfeeding, and everyday hygiene, helping reduce the risk of infections and creating healthier environments for families to thrive.

This 𝐖𝐨𝐫π₯𝐝 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐒𝐧𝐠 π–πžπžπ€, we celebrate mothers everywhere while reaffirming our commitment to bringing safe water to underserved communities. Because when families have access to clean water, mothers are healthier, babies are stronger, and communities flourish.

Together, let's build a future where every mother and every child has the opportunity to grow, thrive, and live with dignity.

πŸ’§ Safe Water. Healthy Mothers. Stronger Futures.

Education isn’t missed by choice it’s lost to necessity. πŸ’‘

Every single day, millions of children are forced to choose between attending class and securing clean water for their families. Hours spent trekking for water or recovering from preventable waterborne illnesses mean valuable classroom time is lost forever.

When we bring clean water and reliable sanitation to a community, we aren't just improving health we’re unlocking education, bright futures, and opportunity for the next generation. πŸš°πŸ“š

Clean water changes everything.
