This week, we would love to introduce you to our sister Mary. Mary is a widow with 3 children. Her husband passed away suddenly last year, Allah yer7mo. Mary was left to raise her 3 beautiful children by herself, as she does not have family in Australia. This year, disaster struck and Mary was diagnosed with cancer. She worries about what might happen to her children if she passes. Due to Marys treatment, she has not been able to work as much as she did before, because of this, they have fallen behind in rent, medical bills, and utility bills. NEW Assessed Case ⚠️⚠️⚠️

It seems these days we all have someone close to us or know someone going through cancer. This week, we met our sister Maryam, who has 6 children, is a single mother, and was told she has 3rd stage cancer.

Maryam has had to start her treatments straight away, the drs are giving her a small chance of recovery. Because of her diagnosis, Maryam has not been able to work, her eldest child, who works at a fast food place, is the only one old enough to work, the rest are still at school. No family in our community should be left to face this alone. Maryam is behind on rent for 2 weeks and has been issued a formal warning from her real estate. Her eldest childs earnings only cover their basic food necessities. Maryam's elderly parents try to help as much as they can, but this family needs help from their community.
