News flash! The Berowra Sustainability Co-Op’s Bike Muster is back!
Got any old bikes or scooters rusting away in your garage? Don’t throw them out. Bring them to us so that they can be refurbished and donated to kids in need.
We’re holding this in conjunction with our ever-popular Whirl Community Recycling collection.
When: Friday 29 May – Sunday 31 May, finishing at 1pm
Drop-off location: 32 Currawong Rd Berowra Heights
We take bikes in absolutely any condition!
What will happen to my bike?
They will be collected by Revolve Recycling, a social enterprise that refurbishes them and donates to people in need, including Indigenous kids in the Northern Territory, kids in Western Sydney, and even kids in Ukraine.

It’s on again! Berowra Sustainability Co-Op are hosting our sixth community recycling collection in conjunction with Whirl Recycling. Just in time for council clean-up! Sadly, we can no longer take small domestic appliances but there’s still a lot we take.

Choose one of our 3 times (below) to drop off your unwanted electronics, cables, computers, laptops, phones, small powered garden tools (no lawnmowers), drones, GPS, X-rays, transistors, watches, fairy lights (and more!) for recycling and (if possible) re-use. Nothing goes to landfill. For a full list of what can and can’t be taken, see the FAQ section of the Whirl Recycling website (e.g. no TVs, fridges, microwaves, air fryers, oil heaters, electric toothbrushes or printers). Or text Whirl on 0480 616 800.

Solar Made Simple returns!!
Confused about solar batteries, panels and rebates? Unsure which companies you can trust? You’re not alone!
Join us for the Berowra Sustainability Co-Op’s fifth Solar Made Simple presentation. This free, informative presentation from volunteers (not solar company reps) has helped many Berowra locals sift through the detail and the misinformation to make a choice that is right for them.
This free, informative and practical session designed by Zero Emissions Solutions covers solar panels and batteries and includes time for questions.
When: Monday 4th May, 7.30pm-8.45pm, Warrina St Clubhouse, 65 Hillcrest Rd Berowra.
The session is free, but registration is essential.

Easter Egg Aluminium foil is infinitely recyclable. Pop any foil bits into an aluminium can or make a ball at least the size of a tennis ball from layers of foil tightly wrapped together and then pop them in your yellow recycling bin.
