Are you aware that your members need to register as a volunteer if they support your club in this capacity? This includes committee members.

While it’s easy to focus on insurance while on the water, anyone supporting your club in a volunteer capacity needs to officially register to unlock vital personal accident and public liability cover. Paddle Australia has made it simple to get protected, and we’ve also got the exclusive recording from Monday’s CLUBMAP webinar to help you master your committee structure.

πŸ–€πŸ’›β€οΈ Today is the final day of National Reconciliation Week.

At PaddleNSW, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the waterways, rivers, lakes and coastlines where we paddle and pay our respects to Elders past and present.

We specifically acknowledge our popular PNSW Indigenous Advisor Darren Forbes for all his marvelous work, and our very own indigenous artist Kate Forbes-Walker for all the talented artwork she produces.

This year's theme, "All In", reminds us that reconciliation is everyone's responsibility. Together, we can continue to learn, listen and build stronger relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

πŸ’™ NATIONAL VOLUNTEERS WEEK πŸ’™

This week, PaddleNSW celebrates the incredible volunteers who make paddling possible across New South Wales.

From early morning course setups and safety boats, to registrations, timing, coaching, rescue support, sausage sizzles and pack down β€” our volunteers are the heartbeat of every event, race and community paddle.

Your time, energy and passion help create safe, welcoming and unforgettable experiences for paddlers of every age and ability.

Whether you volunteer once a year or every weekend, your contribution matters more than words can say.
πŸ‘ Thank you for helping grow our sport.
πŸ‘ Thank you for supporting our paddling community.
πŸ‘ Thank you for being part of PaddleNSW.
