Collection has now been extended til the end of November.

EGSC Silage wrap collection is happening again in November 2025.
Farmers are encouraged to collect and store silage wrap on farms in correctly prepared Bulka bags until the collection times are open at transfer stations in Benambra, Omeo and Swifts Creek.
Collection will be in mid November.

Preparing your silage wrap:
1. Separate plastic bale wrap from net wrap and twine (net wrap and twine CANNOT be recycled)*
2. Shake off excess dirt from plastic bale wrap
3. Tightly roll the silage plastic and pack firmly in a collection Bulka bag**
4. Drop off bags of wrap at designated sites during collection periods
*netting and twine will need to be disposed in general waste
**please note that a tightly packed Bulka bag can weigh up to 500 kg
