Last night, the brigade held its awards evening. Awards were given out from 5 years to 80 years of service. We were feed before the event by the RRT team who volunteered to come and cater for us. This gave the brigade an opportunity to thank the team for their work during our busy fire season. Fantastic evening with a large numbers of members attending.

Today, the Mount Alexander Shire Council and I announced that the James Creek Bridge in Redesdale will be replaced.

The new bridge will support residents, farmers and emergency services.

The project has been made possible thanks to a $675,000 grant from the Federal
Government via the Safer Local Roads and Infrastructure Program (SLRIP).

Whether it be pedestrian traffic lights in the heart of Bendigo or a rural bridge utilised by farmers, transporters and CFA tankers, the Federal Labor Government is partnering with local and state government to make our local road network safer.

Last night we participated in the Bendigo Torchlight Procession. The children thoroughly enjoyed viewing the tanker with Easter messages on it and also our bunny ears.
