Illawarra Beekeepers Association at Sutherland The Illawarra Beekeepers Association welcomes anyone who wishes to learn or participate in all aspects of urban beekeeping.

Meetings held 2nd Thursday 7pm and last Sunday 10am of each month
At the Bee Garden, Museum and Education Centre The Illawarra Beekeepers Club, was established in 1965, with a commitment to further education and awareness of beekeeping within the community. We have a diverse group of new and experienced beekeepers and meet twice a month. Meetings are held on the second Thursday evening of each mon

th at 7.00pm and on the last Sunday of each month 10am at the Bee Garden in Sutherland. You are most welcome to attend a club meeting or do some work with some beehives on a field day. Our dedicated volunteer group also meet every Thursday morning from 9 am at the club house to attend to the grounds, shop, and bee hives. Field Day at Illawarra Beekeepers is to be held this Sunday 23 February @ 10:00 am at the Bee Club.

GUEST Presenter - Ana Martin demonstrating the Varroa Controller in our apiary. This is an innovative tool for managing the Varroa mites in hives without using chemicals. Some may have listened to their presentation last spring, but this time you will be able to see it in action.
