Surry Hills Probus Club We invite anyone who is retired or semi-retired to come along and meet some new, like-minded friends. Arrive at 9:45am for a 10am start.

Meetings are at 10am the first Tuesday of each month at East Sydney Community & Arts Centre (Lower Hall) 34-40 Burton St, Darlinghurst NSW 2010. Probus Clubs are all about having Fun and making new Friendships in Retirement. Probus Clubs have monthly meetings with fascinating guest speakers, interest groups that get together between meetings, regular outings and activities, day trips and even holi

days. We invite anyone who is retired or semi-retired to come along and meet some new, like-minded friends, have a few laughs and enjoy a free morning tea. Surry Hills Probus Club Meetings are held at the East Sydney Community & Arts Centre (Lower Hall) 34-40 Burton St, Darlinghurst NSW 2010 on the first Tuesday of each month.

The next outing of the Surry Hills Probus Club will be on Monday 13 July to the NSW State Parliament. Meet at 11.30am at the entrance at 6 Macquarie Street, Sydney. We will then have lunch at the Long Bell Café. The tour of parliament will be at 1.30pm.
Probus is a social group for the retired and semi-retired. The aim is fun and friendship. We meet once a month (usually the first Tuesday of the month) and also go on regular outings. Guests interested in joining the club are most welcome to attend.

The July meeting of the Surry Hills Probus Club will take place on Tuesday 7 July 2026 at the Lower Hall East Sydney Community and Arts Centre, 34-40 Burton Street, Darlinghurst. Arrive 9.45am for a 10.00am start. The meeting includes morning tea and we usually go to a local pub at 12 for lunch after the meeting.
The guest speaker will be Colin McCabe, who will be speaking on the subject of technology made simple for seniors.

The March outing of the Surry Hills Probus Club will be a tour of the Sydney Masonic Centre, located on the corner of Goulburn and Castlereagh Streets. Meet at reception at 10.15am. The tour will be followed by lunch at the Associate Cafe, adjacent to the Centre. Cost of the tour is $10, payable at reception on the day. The first meeting of the Surry Hills Probus Club for 2026 is on Tuesday 3 February at the East Sydney Community & Arts Centre (Lower Hall) 34-40 Burton St, Darlinghurst NSW 2010 (arrive 9.45am for a 10.00am start). The meeting will feature guest speaker, Danika Armytage. Her presentation weaves together some of her personal journey — from television to founding Big Stories Little Films — along with a broader discussion about the value of recording life stories, particularly for people in retirement who may feel the desire to capture their memories but feel overwhelmed by the idea of writing a memoir.
