Cushions For A Cause

Cushions For A Cause I had retired after enjoying running my own small business (insert link here for The Market Basket Co. Thank you,
Lindy Almond.

My mission in creating Cushions For A Cause (http://cushionsforacause.co/) is to create and sell beautiful cushions made from recycled materials and to donate all profits to the charity Médecins sans frontières. My mission in creating this Cushions For A Cause is to bring together my wish to give back to society with my passion for recycling, cutting down on waste and overconsumption and teaming

it up with my love for Op Shopping! Anyone with an eye for a bargain will share my enjoyment of browsing in the many Op-shops which are springing up in our cities and towns to sell pre-loved items which we no longer need and which we donate to support the various charities which run them. for 14 years and was looking for some way to regain a sense of purpose that I’d had in my working life and which I missed in retirement. On my Op-shopping trips I had noticed that a huge amount of cushions which were being given away contained perfectly good inserts inside tired-looking or just plain ugly covers. At the same time, I needed some upholstery work done and discovered that there were lots of remnants of beautiful high-quality fabrics left over from upholstery jobs which were going to waste. In a flash of inspiration I realised that I could put together my various desires and passions and so the idea for “Cushions For A Cause” was born! I decided to make beautiful cushions from these inserts and fabrics and to sell them online and donate all the profits to Médecins Sans Frontières, a charity which I already donate to and whose work I really admire.
