Eora Mckell Toastmasters meeting #576

07 February 2024.

Today was our first meeting for February 2024. The theme for our meeting today was “Education and entertainment” and our word of the day from our grammarian was “Edutainment”.

We learned some fantastic tips and tricks to combine and uplift our speeches to include some entertainment during our table topics and use of the word of the day.

We welcomed two new members to our club and continue to strengthen our team as we continue to welcome new members to join our club.

Our next meeting will be on Saturday 17th Feb 2024 from 1 pm. You are all welcome We wish everyone a wonderful week.

16 December 2023😁

Today was our last meeting for 2023. With our meeting themed “Yuletide Season/ Holidays”, everyone was really in a jovial mood today. Our VPE gave us a new challenge to close out the year with a video speech of the world champion of Toastmasters International 2003 for us to practice our evaluation skills. It was much fun and we picked up a lot of tips and techniques used by the speaker.

We now break for our Yuletude season for a well-deserved holiday and looking forward to a fun-filled next year of Eora McKel Toastmasters Club learning and sharing our journey. Our first meeting back will be on the 20th of January 2024. You are all welcome and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re interested in joining our club.
