Dukhan is an ancient Sudanese, traditional, smoke bath, wellness ritual, predominantly practiced by women for skin,, beauty, and relaxation purposes. Often used for postpartum healing or bridal preparation
Key Aspects of the Dukhan Tradition:
The Ritual: The woman sits on a chair over a hole in the ground containing burning wood (often Talih), covered by a heavy blanket to trap the smoke.
Benefits: It is used for skin tightening, cleansing, and smoothing, as well as for intimate hygiene and wellness. It is highly valued for postpartum recovery.

Modern variations, sometimes called "body smoking," exist as spa treatments to detoxify the skin and relax muscles Talih Wood for your Dukhan treatment. There are two big pieces of Acacia Seyal - Vachellia Seyal that grows in the Sahara belt from Sudan to Senegal.
