Please join us in congratulating our very own Andrew Collins for being awarded the Joyce Scorey Shield for SES Trainer of the Year this afternoon. Andrew received his award at Brisbane City Hall, in celebration of SES Week!

"For exceptional leadership and delivery of training, mentoring, competency maintenance, and infrastructure enhancing both training and operational capability of Caloundra SES Group".

We're extremely proud of Andrew and his diligent efforts in keeping our members skilled and compliant. His dedication to our education means we are always prepared to help our community with confidence.

🚨 Grant Success for Caloundra SES! 🚨

We’re pleased to share that Caloundra SES has been successful in receiving grant funding from the Queensland State Emergency Service Volunteer Association (SESVA)! 🙌

Thanks to this generous support, we have received:

💧 2 Hoselink retractable hoses – helping us keep our vehicles, equipment and property clean and ready for action.

💨 Ryobi blower – perfect for keeping our work spaces and equipment areas tidy and safe.

Thank you SESVA for supporting our volunteers and helping us maintain the equipment and facilities we rely on to serve our community. 🧡💛

This afternoon a few of our members had the privilege to do a school visit at Caloundra Christian College and speak with the year 3 and 4 students about what we do and how we help our community in the time of need.

Last night's training was a busy one for the Caloundra group!

Some members completed a CPR refresher course to maintain their competency, while others gave the vehicle used during the Kenilworth Chook Chase a thorough clean and restock after a busy weekend in the mud and dust.

Whether it's maintaining vital skills or keeping our equipment response-ready, every training night helps prepare our volunteers to assist the community when it matters most. 💙🧡

🏍 This weekend Caloundra SES members joined Kenilworth and other SES groups to assist with safety checkpoints throughout the state forest during the Kenilworth Chook Chase - Proudly Sponsored By KTM.

The Chook Chase is a fantastic non-competitive off-road trail ride event which brings people together and contributes to the local economy and community spirit. Another excellent event this year with fun had by all.

A big thanks goes out to Rapid Relief Team AU for supporting the SES yet again by providing meals for our hungry volunteers!

14/7/26 last night our members did some training and getting more comfortable setting up and executing the correct steps to complete a roofing task.

All members performed well and enjoyed the training session.
