This year’s ShedMusic festival is slowly getting nearer. Save the dates!

Meanwhile regular weekly activities at ShedMusic HQ continue as usual:

Monday afternoons: ShedJazz, a jam session for jazz musos.

Wednesday mornings. The ShedSingers, a community singing group.

Friday mornings: ShedGrooves, a pop and folk music jam session.

We’ve just had our second ever choir register as an act..

AChoired Taste is a community choir that meets at the Coolum Lions Club hall on Thursday evenings under the direction of esteemed singer and vocal coach, Trish Couper.

Among its membership are several members of Coolum Mens and Womens Sheds and the Noosa Mens Shed.

Every year the Coolum Mens Shed put on a night at the Coolum Hotel to show appreciation for their sponsors. For the past couple of years this has also involved the ShedMusic festival sponsors. Needless to say, ShedMusic musicians are involved in providing music.

This year’s guest of honour will again be Mayor Rosanna Natoli. Just so happens, the mayor likes to sing too. Last year she did a number with the band for sponsors night and then sang another number at the opening night of the festival. The political precedent having been set, she is now regarded as part of the band!
