We would like to extend a massive thank you to Cr Jenny Broderick - Division 1 SCC for taking time out of her very busy schedule to come and visit our shows on the weekend. Jenny also helped one of our judges, Mr Tyron Atkinson present Best In Group ribbons and prizes!

We work closely with the council, Beerwah Bulldogs and Glass House Pony Club to use these amazing grounds we have available on the Sunshine Coast and put on this great event. We are very lucky to have access to these facilities, including the availability for our exhibitors who travel to camp over the weekend and keep their dogs safe and happy, and hope we can continue to maintain running of these events for another 50 years!

The Sunshine Coast Kennel Club is hosting our Annual Conformation Show and Dog Sports event THIS WEEKEND, and you’re invited!

Come see everything from elegant show dogs to clever pups performing high-speed tricks and scent work. It’s the perfect chance to spot your favorite breed and chat with expert breeders.

🗓️ When to Catch the Action:
* Saturday 21 March: Shows at 8:30AM-1PM & 4:00PM to late
* Sunday 22 March: Show, Trick Trial, & Scent Work starting at 8:30AM

✨ What to Expect:
* 🛍️ Dog Vendors: Shop unique treats, gear, and accessories.
* 🍔 Beerwah Bulldogs Canteen: Food and drinks available all day.
* 🐩 Amazing Dogs: Watch talented canines strut their stuff!

🤩Know Before You Go: FAQ

Q: Is it free for spectators?
A: yes!

Q: Can I bring my own dog?
A: To ensure the safety and focus of the competing dogs, we ask that you leave your pets at home unless they are officially entered in the show.

Q: What should I bring?
A: Seating can be limited, so we highly recommend bringing a folding chair and a hat!

Q: Is there food available?
A: Yes! The Beerwah Bulldogs will have canteen open serving hot food, snacks, and cold drinks.

Q: When is the best time to see the "Tricks"?
A: The Trick Trial kicks off at 8:30 AM on Sunday.

Q: Can I pet the dogs?
A: Most exhibitors love to chat, but please always ask the owner first. Some dogs might be "in the zone" right before they head into the ring!

Camping bookings will include powered and non-powered sites (allocated spots), available for booking from early 2026.

The SCKC Executive and Members would like to pass on our deepest condolences to Mrs Jean McErlane's family and friends after her passing this week.

Jean was a respected judge and beloved member of the showing community in New Zealand and well known across the world. We were looking forward to hosting Jean as a judge for our 2025 shows but she was unfortunately unable to attend, and we are saddened to hear the news of her passing. She leaves a wonderful legacy and will be greatly missed.

Her funeral will be held on Friday 16th May 2025 at All Saints Church, Purewa, 100/102 St Johns Road Meadow Bank Auckland at 12 pm till 2.00 pm. The link for those unable to attend in person is: https://sibuns.co.nz/upcoming-funerals/mcerlane-73071/?
