A lovely beach walk from Happy Valley across to the new northern tip of Bribie, all the way to the break. We chanced upon this carpet python wrapped tightly around a tree branch before heading back for a coffee at the Happy Turtle Coffee van/Cafe near the playground.

Bribie is a national park, so no dogs.

Mt Ninderry. A tougher walk, similar to Mt Ngungun or Coolum. Lots of stairs. This is a state park, so dogs on lead are welcome (take water and poo bags for them). Take in both the Eastern and Western lookout points, or head to one or the other. Can get busy on the weekend, so go early and wear sturdy shoes. Thongs are not advised!

Ewen Maddock Dam. A hidden gem. Picnic tables, kids playground, safe swimming area, kayaking, BBQ's, toilets and best of all, a great bushwalking/dirt bike track. The Sunshine Coast is more than just beaches! Head towards Mooloolah and the Hinterland and visit the Dam.

If you are after fabulous sunset photos, you can't go wrong with a relatively easy hike up Mt. Ngungun. Avoid crowds and go on a weekday, or if you don't mind people, weekends are good too!

Take a torch for the trip down (I usually get about halfway down after sunset before I need to turn mine on), water and wear sensible shoes. Oh, and stay away from the edges. đŸ˜€

If you're looking for a great spot to get some sunrise photos, you can't go wrong with a stroll from Golden Beach to Kings Beach or vice versa! A flat easy walk, taking in the views, with plenty of coffee shops along to the way to stop and have brunch/breakfast.

Pick your own strawberries! Head out to the Hinterland along Steve Irwin way and you'll find this fabulous set up, with the magnificent Mt. Tibrogargan in the background. Visit house Tropical Fruits 894 Steve Irwin Way, Glasshouse Mountains. Check their page for picking days. They also have a farm stall on the weekend. :)
