Standing on the shoulders of giants ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

Invasion Day is more than a date - it is a powerful testament to Survival and Cultural Sovereignty.

It is a day to acknowledge the profound injustice of the past while celebrating the unbreakable spirit of First Nations peoples.

Together.

When injustice is never addressed, its impacts donโ€™t disappear, they are passed down, felt today, and carried into the future unless we choose to do something differently.

This is not about blame or guilt. It is about empathy, understanding, and the choice to stand beside First Nations (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander) peoples today.

Thank you for standing with community โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’š

Truth doesnโ€™t disappear because weโ€™re uncomfortable with it.

And healing doesnโ€™t happen by pretending itโ€™s over.

โœŠ๐Ÿฝ Invasion Day 2026: Thank You!

To every person who showed up and stood up: Thank you. This movement would be nothing without our community โค๏ธ

The massive turnout on the Sunshine Coast proves that truth-telling cannot be ignored. While some try to make First Nations rights invisible, we know the truth: January 26 marks an invasion that continues to impact the self-determination of First Nations (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander) peoples.

For many, this day is a day of Mourning and Survival. Unity isn't difficult, it just requires showing up with respect, goodwill and an open heart to the lived experience of First Nations people.

๐Ÿ–ค Deep Gratitude

A massive shout-out to the legends who made the day happen:

- QuEvents and our tireless ground crew

- Our incredible volunteers & performers

- Every community organisation who invested their time and energy

- QPS for their assistance and support

This event grows every year, and we canโ€™t wait to see even more of you in 2027.
