Our Club won the Sir Clem Renouf Rotary Foundation Trophy for our commitment to Rotary's charity. We continue to support the Rotary Foundation every year and was successful in obtaining Foundation grants over the past 2 years. What a way to put a ribbon on Past President Gil’s year! Well done and thank you to our members for supporting the Wheelchairs for Kids project to help kids in Mongolia.

One of the things our community does really well is engaging with our seniors — but there’s always more we can do. That’s why I absolutely love the Rotary Club of Sumner Park’s initiative, Rotary Connect!

This wonderful project offers a phone service for seniors, carers, and people living alone to call a local mobile number and enjoy a friendly chat with a Centenary local from our Rotary Club who genuinely cares.

It was great to get an update on the project at the recent Rotary Club of Sumner Park changeover dinner.

The passing of the baton tonight at the club's changeover dinner. Congratulations to President Gil on 2 successful years at the helm. Incoming President Sara Taylor has set out her goals and has challenged us to take on a new project to provide food packages for Ronald McDonald House. PP Pat Smith was awarded club Rotarian of the year for all the volunteer hours and building work undertaken at RARE headquarters at Alexandra Hills over the past 2 years. Congratulations to all club members for their contribution 👏 😀

Today a number of our club members got up bright and early to assist the Rotary Club of Paddington at their annual citizenship ceremony. 2024 has kicked off with a couple of our pet projects. Book packing day last weekend to send out the first batch of books to young children in drought affected areas in SW Queensland. Yesterday, we were delighted to support the Centenary Dance Academy at the open day with a sausage sizzle.
