Friendship doesn't check ID.
At Little BIG, we've seen it again and again; the surprise pairings community spaces create. An 8-year-old and an 80-year-old, swapping stories over a cup of tea. Neighbours who'd never have crossed paths, now waving hello every morning.
And sometimes, the friendship starts on four legs before it ever reaches two.
A chance meeting between two dogs on a footpath, leads tangled, tails wagging, and suddenly their humans are chatting too. One introduction leads to another, and before long, an intergenerational friendship has quietly taken root.
That's the thing about community, you don't get to choose who shows up. You just have to create the space for it to happen.
