Twelve years have passed in the blink of an eye. In 2014 — the Year of the Horse — CPA was honoured to be selected as the charity partner for the Chinese New Year celebrations by the City of Sydney.
That year marked a significant milestone for CPA. We received special recognition from the City of Sydney and were given wonderful opportunities to participate in many Lunar New Year events, including the New Year Parade, Dragon Boat races, and various community activities that allowed us to promote our work and connect with the wider community.
Our members and their families gained invaluable experiences and created lasting memories through these celebrations.
Here are some of the highlights from the festival that we cherished so much❤️

十二年轉瞬即逝。 2014年，正值馬年，當年CPA榮幸地被雪梨市政府選為農曆新年慶典活動的慈善合作夥伴。

那一年對CPA而言意義非凡。我們獲得了雪梨市政府的特別認可，並獲得參與了許多農曆新年活動，包括新年遊行、龍舟賽以及各種社區活動，讓協康會獲得宣傳的機會，並與更廣泛的社區建立聯合和認識。會員及其家人透過這些慶典活動穫到寶貴的經驗，並留下了難忘的回憶。❤️

Yesterday, CPA welcomed the Year of the Horse with a joyful family Lunar New Year celebration lunch. It was a warm and wonderful gathering filled with festive cheer and a true New Year atmosphere. Families came together to enjoy Li si, exciting lucky door prizes, beautiful traditional attire and the generous gifts from Nancy and Alex Ma of the mouse pads calendar beautifully designed by him. What a fantastic start to the year!

昨天，協康會舉辦了一場溫馨的家庭農曆新年慶祝午餐會，迎接馬年的到來。這是一場充滿喜氣氣氛的溫馨聚會，洋溢著濃厚的新年氣息。大家歡聚一堂，聚會有幸運品抽獎，美麗的傳統服飾。新年伊始，還有Nancy & Alex Ma送出一年一度Alex自己設計的精品馬年月歷mouse pads. 真是美好的開始！

Another Year for CPA!
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the organization and its members for the privilege and opportunity to serve. Week by week, we have welcomed new members, and it’s been truly rewarding to see how each individual with a disability has settled into our classes. The support we’ve provided and the friendships we’ve built with their families are things I deeply cherish. I’m honored to hold this role and to be part of such an incredible community.
Our Christmas party yesterday was the perfect way to wrap up the year, bringing together CPA families, teachers, and our long-time friends and supporters. It was another memorable day added to the history of CPA.
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

Yesterday, we wrapped up the year with a big Christmas celebration lunch with families. Looking ahead, CPA excited about the potential for future collaborations and the positive impact we can continue to create together. Whether it’s through similar events, projects, or initiatives, our collective efforts will lead to meaningful outcomes.
Thank all the committee members, for their efforts and valuable contribution over the year. Also to acknowledge the dedication and contribution of our lovely staff, volunteers, parents, teachers, coaches and the generous support from the community organisations that helped make 2024 a very successful year.

CPA look forward to seeing 2025 continue the upward trend of success in our organisation. CPA wishing you a very happy Christmas and a wonderful new year.

昨天，協康會與家人一起度過了豐盛的聖誕慶祝午餐，結束了2024的一年。展望未來，協康會對未來合作的潛力以及我們繼續共同創造的正面成就感到興奮。無論是透過類似的活動、計畫或倡議，我們的集體努力都將帶來有意義的成果。

Today is the Day of International day of People with Disability 2024. https://www.idpwd.com.au/about/about-idpwd/ A day to promote community awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability. The United Nations has announced the theme for IDPwD 2024 is:

Amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future.

Being part of the community involvement of the IDPwD, CPA families and friends gathered together to celebrate and promote the event last Sunday, a perfect fun day with a perfect weather that was made for us! The event funded by the Inner West Council.

今天是 2024 年國際殘疾人日。聯合國宣布 2024 年 IDPwD 的主題是：

「加強殘疾人的領導力，創造包容和永續的未來。」

‘National Carers Week recognises, celebrates and raises awareness of the 3 million Australians providing unpaid care and support to their family members or friends. The week shines a light on Australian carers’ resilience and sacrifice, and the profound impact they have on our communities.

At some point in every Australian’s life, we will either know, be, or need a carer. It’s this fundamental truth that underscores the importance of National Carers Week, urging us to show support, extend a helping hand or simply be there for those who tirelessly give of themselves, day in and day out.’

全國照護者週旨在表彰、慶祝並提高對 300 萬澳洲人向家人或朋友提供無償照護和支持的認識。本週展示了澳洲照顧者的韌性和精神，以及對我們社區的深遠影響。

In September, Another valuable experience gained for our kids, although we missed out on the best part of our trip ‘ski’, but we got to see the other beauties of the other side of the mountain in a different way. The sights were breathtaking, but the memories we created are what I’ll cherish most. Thank you all for your patience with us as we try-our best to make it all possible for everyone. Another lesson learned for us to improve our work system. We are always working towards the benefits of our members and families.

Thank again for being part of this amazing experience. ❤️

再次為我們的孩子獲得的另一個寶貴的經驗，雖然我們錯過了旅行中最好的部分“滑雪”，但我們以不同的方式看到了雪山的另一邊的美景。 景色令人嘆為觀止，但我們一起創造的回憶才是最珍惜的。 在於我們安排分配過程中的工作、感謝大家對我們的耐心等待。又一次給我們一個學習的經驗和改善方式。 一切都是致力於為會員和家庭提升利益。
