EON Aboriginal Foundation

EON Aboriginal Foundation Good nutrition is the foundation of good health. Poor nutrition is heavily evident in these communities and is a major known cause of chronic disease.

Through partnerships with communities, we improve food security and reduce health disparities via edible gardens and hands-on nutrition education, empowering communities to build stronger futures. The EON Foundation provides practical support to remote Indigenous communities with a focus on chronic disease prevention, particularly Type 2 diabetes. EON provides resources and education programs to i

mprove nutrition in a "hands-up not hands-out" way. "Helping Australian children suffering third world health problems in a first world economy."

We were privileged to have Kirrilee Warr MLA, Member for Geraldton spend time on the ground with the EON team and the wonderful students at Mullewa District High School and Rangeway Primary School. From busy hands in the garden to big smiles in the kitchen, the students proudly shared their skills, stories and love of healthy food 🌱🍎Thanks for making the time Kirrilee.

Learning comes to life in the garden 🌱
These young students are using their garden as an outdoor classroom—exploring everything from science to literacy to art, while building a deeper understanding of where their food comes from.

Through hands-on nutrition education, they’re not just growing fruit and vegetables—they’re growing the knowledge and skills for lifelong health.

It's great to see these young learners getting hands-on in the kitchen—making (and enjoying!) their own healthy fruit kebabs.
Thanks for the post St. Joseph's Primary School Wyndham notice board. And a big shout out to Ali from EON too!
