SUPPORT WORKER WANTED — MID NORTH COAST
Looking for work that actually means something?
Seaside Support Community Services (SSCS) is looking for an experienced Support Worker to join our team — and we’re particularly keen to hear from someone who is confident and experienced with personal care.
We’re a small, local team supporting people to live their lives with greater independence, dignity and connection to their community. We care about doing the job properly — and about having good people around us while we do it.
🙌 You might be our person if you:
• Have experience working in disability or community support
• Are confident providing personal care with dignity and respect
• Are reliable, capable and comfortable working independently
• Can communicate well with clients, families and the rest of the team
• Actually care about the people you support — not just ticking off a shift
🕐 The important bit…
We need someone with genuine flexibility.
Our shifts include:
🌅 Early mornings
🌙 Evenings
☀️ Daytime shifts
📅 Weekdays and weekends
This could be a great fit if the traditional Monday–Friday, 9–5 life isn’t really your thing and you’d rather have work that can fit around the rest of your life.
Experience is important to us, but so is the person behind it. We’re looking for someone grounded, dependable, respectful and able to build genuine rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.

Point to the Future is growing, and we need your help!

We currently have 91 amazing followers, and we’d love to reach 150 so we can connect with more young people, families, and community members who believe in creating opportunities for our youth.

Exciting stuff for our little community, to get behind Point to the Future and the can/bottle drive you can find a link on their page to register your house/ business for collection or simply leave your cans and bottles visible on the FIRST TUESDAY OF EVERY MONTH.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to our second bottle and can collection.

We're excited to announce that we collected 3,112 bottles and cans, beating our previous total of 2,600!

Special thanks to James Goodchild, Sarah Basha, Hot Myrtle Kitchen, and Stuart's Point Bowling Club for their support, and to Kim Baines for the ongoing use of her trailer. Your generosity and community spirit are greatly appreciated.

It was wonderful to see so many more households leaving donations out this time as well as those donated to our station at the hub, Every bottle and can helps us create more opportunities for local young people through Point to the Future.

Our next collection is Tuesday 7th July from 8:00am. Be sure to have your bottles and cans out ready for collection.

Seaside Support Community Services is proud to support Point to the Future, a newly established youth-focused not-for-profit organisation dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming space where young people can learn, connect, and thrive.

We’re reaching out to our amazing community to see if anyone can help us with donations to assist in setting up our youth space.

We are currently seeking:

📚 2 x small study desks
💻 Refurbished computers or laptops compatible with Windows 11
📓 Notebooks and writing pads
✏️ Stationery supplies (pens, pencils, highlighters, markers, folders, etc.)

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a real difference to local young people and help create opportunities for learning, personal growth, and connection.

If you have any of these items in good, usable condition and would like to donate, please send us a message or contact our team.

Together, we can create a space where young people feel supported, valued, and inspired to build a brighter future.
