Remember the dog was found living in a sewer in Ukraine? Today, he’s called Beily and he's safe in foster care. His transformation has been incredible.

The frightened, abandoned and desperate boy we first met is now learning what love feels like… and giving it right back. ❤️🐾

Do you remember the puppies we rescued from the garden in Ukraine?

This is Neuron, one of those little lives our partner rescuer fought to save.

Back then, he was just a vulnerable puppy, trying to survive in a place he was never meant to be.

Neuron has arrived safely in the UK and has just settled into his forever home. 🇬🇧❤️

He is the sweetest boy... gentle, loving, and already bringing so much joy to his new family. It’s hard to believe this is the same little puppy from that garden.

This is what your support makes possible.

Thank you for helping us get dogs like Neuron all the way home

Jack has come such a long way.

He was found on the streets of Ukraine, going up to people for food. We don’t know exactly where he came from, but judging by how gentle and well-mannered he is, we believe he once had a family who may have had to leave him behind during the conflict.

The happy ending… he’s now safe and loved in his new home in Finland.

And as you can see, he’s settled in beautifully — even if his new feline friend seems to think the snacks belong to them 😅

Just a bit of real life from a war zone.

We saw these dogs and no, we didn’t take them into the shelter. I know that’s the part people don’t always understand.

The truth is… there just isn’t space. The shelters we support are already completely full.

None of these dogs were injured, but they were starting to have puppies, and with puppy season coming, that would have meant litter after litter born into a really harsh situation.

So instead, we funded to have them all desexed at our partner shelter in Ukraine. The amazing founder is also a vet. Heroes don’t always wear capes. The shelter will also check on them regularly and make sure they have enough to eat, are well and managing as a pack.

It’s not the kind of “rescue” people expect to see.

However this one decision stops hundreds, even thousands, of future puppies from suffering on the streets.

Sometimes in a war zone, you don’t get perfect options. You just do the best thing you can with what’s in front of you. And this was the best thing we could do for them.

Thank you for being here and supporting this work.

Just a quick update from one of our partner shelters in Ukraine.

They’re currently building new kennels, which is a big deal in itself. But at the same time, they’re also having to repair damage from shelling in the area. That’s the reality they’re working in every day.

Trying to improve things for the dogs while also fixing what’s been destroyed around them. It’s hard to get your head around, but they just keep going. The war is relentless, but so are they.

We’re really proud to be supporting them and we want you to see the kind of work your donations are making possible.

Thank you for sticking with us and helping us support shelters doing this work in a full conflict zone.

The dogs at our partner shelter in Ukraine were happily running around the yard when a distant boom from shelling echoed nearby.
For a moment they all stopped. Ears up. Listening. Then they carried on playing.

It’s a strange thing to witness. War in the distance, but wagging tails in the yard. Somehow these dogs still feel safe enough to just be dogs.

That’s entirely thanks to the incredible shelter team caring for them every day, even with everything happening around them.

These puppies were born in a garden in Ukraine.

Their mum had litter after litter after litter, simply because she wasn’t neutered.

As the puppies grew, they began escaping the yard. Some wandered onto roads. Some disappeared. Some were injured or killed. 💔

When we were alerted to the situation, our rescue stepped in and worked patiently with the owner. Eventually, the owner agreed to surrender the puppies from this latest litter into our care.

These little ones are now safe. They have been checked by a vet, are now cared for properly, and have given the chance every puppy deserves... a real life, not one cut short by preventable circumstances. We will post more about the pups over the next few weeks.

This is why desexing matters.
This is why early intervention saves lives.
And this is why rescue is about education, prevention and breaking the cycle.

Thank you for being part of the reason stories like this can have a better ending 🐾💛

Eva was found abandoned in a cemetery, tied to a gravestone cross.

Beside her, shivering in a cardboard box, were her puppies, Mikki and Simba.

Our rescuers have seen many heartbreaking things during the conflict, but this scene stayed with them. Eva was confused, distressed, and frightened. We are so grateful they reached her when they did.

Because of you, Eva was freed.
Because of you, her puppies were brought in from the cold.

And because of you, this story has a beautiful ending.

Eva, Mikki and Simba all survived.
All three have been adopted.
They are now safe, loved, and living new lives in Germany 🤍🐾
