AUSTRALIAN SCHOOL OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP - LOCAL COUNCIL WORKSHOP | What a way to spend a Friday evening!! We had the privilege of working with a group of young people from Western Sydney through our public speaking and MC workshops. Our program facilitators got straight into the real stuff, giving participants the skills and confidence to own a room and step into the MC role.

Here is the impact from the workshop:

💡 100% of participants said they learned something from the program
🤝 100% of participants said they would attend another workshop

Thank you for having us. Seeing participants step up, take the mic and back themselves on the night was the best way to spend a Friday evening - we cannot wait to see these young people on stages throughout the year!!

AUSTRALIAN SCHOOL OF EMPLOYMENT - SELF-EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM | ASE is now accepting final applications for the financial year, with the final intake fortnight commencing before EOFY. The Self-Employment Assistance Program helps eligible participants start, develop or grow a small or micro-business through free mentoring, workshops, accredited training and business support. Participants can work on a business plan, receive guidance from experienced business coaches and access up to 12 months of small business coaching. Self-Employment Assistance is a free Australian Government initiative funded by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.

The Self-Employment Assistance Program helps people start, develop and grow a small or micro-business through 12 months of free mentoring, workshops, accredited training and financial support.

AUSTRALIAN SCHOOL OF EMPLOYMENT - SMALL BUSINESS MONTH | What an afternoon at our Brisbane City Launchpad! We kicked things off with a Small Business Headshot Day where participants got behind the camera for fresh professional photos. Seeing the confidence boost was the best part, especially for those who'd never had professional headshots taken before.

The afternoon then rolled into our Small Business Networking event for Queensland Small Business Month and the turnout was even bigger than expected. Everyone got moving around the room with a fun icebreaker activity, swapping stories, learning about each other's businesses and even finding collaboration opportunities on the spot.

If you're a participant in our Self-Employment Assistance Program, keep an eye out for more events like this. We've got a seriously great community building and we want you in it!

AUSTRALIAN SCHOOL OF EMPLOYMENT - CREATING YOUR FUTURE JOB | Our students have graduated!! Seven weeks. Nine young people aged 15 to 24. One program designed to change the way they think about employment, self-employment and what is actually possible for their futures.

We wrapped up our Creating Your Future Job graduation and we couldn't be prouder of the young people. We had our special guest judge Zoe Yarwood join us and the students brought absolutely everything they had. Congratulations to every single student who showed up week after week and backed themselves!!

AUSTRALIAN SCHOOL OF EMPLOYMENT - REAL WORLD READY PROGRAM | We just launched Real World Ready and Toowoomba is already showing up for it. Week 2 and we are deep into Customer Service skills with young people aged 15 to 24 in Toowoomba. Eight weeks of hands-on employment and entrepreneurship skills. Watch this space!!
