It’s not too late…

Following a warmer autumn, a Langhorne Creek flower farmer said there was still another week or two to get native plants into the ground before the colder months.

Walking the trail together: Sharing stories of Country in Langhorne Creek ✨

Mervyn Kartinyeri (Ngarrindjeri Aboriginal Corporation), Lian Jaensch (Langhorne Creek Grape and Wine) and Tom Keelan, all members of the Project Partnership Group driving activation of the Langhorne Creek Discovery Trail, recently caught up for a walk along the proposed route.

The walk provided an opportunity to talk through the many layers that define Langhorne Creek, including cultural heritage, landscape, and its unique relationship with water. 💧

A key focus was the Ngarrindjeri perspective and how First Nations stories can be respectfully shared along the trail. 🚶

These early conversations will help shape a visitor experience that gives people the opportunity to engage more deeply with local Ngarrindjeri history.

There is a rich body of Ngarrindjeri stories and cultural knowledge that could be shared.
