Welcome to the Winter Solstice 2026. The shortest day and longest night of the year, but for gardeners, it's time to sharpen your secateurs for the winter pruning of your roses and fruit trees. It's also a reminder to get a plant and loose change ready for this Friday, the 26th, as we gather to try and grab something useful from the raffle.
Our guest speaker is Martin, who works in the field of environmental management and spends a lot of his leisure time photographing the diverse range of plants, fungi, and small creatures we share our world with, and will share some stories about these visitors with us.
Your newsletter will arrive shortly. Join us at the Neighbourhood Center, Parker Avenue, 9:30 am for a 10 am start.
