Stanthorpe camp had another of our famous International nights Saturday night. Yuki and her team of helpers served us a delicious meal of Miso Soup, Japanese stew, different flavored rice balls and a delicious dessert. We are truly spoiled here. This coming Saturday it will be a selection of French Canadian dishes. Yuki has set the bar very high with her meal last night so the challenge is out there. I am sure the team will match the standard! I can tell you it is wonderful finding out!!!!

Yuki is very traditional and she began the meal and asked us all to complete a survey at the end. Damned hard to rank dishes when they were all delicious.

I shall update you all after next week, such a great team of volunteers it is a pleasure to be part of the team. (For those wondering we do squeeze in some work between banquets)

Stanthorpe is place to eat, build fences, eat, hang gates, eat and help people recover from a devastating disaster. We are making a difference to people's lives, learning new skills and experiencing different cultures with our diverse camp.

Local farmers are encouraged to contact us if we can help. It is hard to accept help but we have an embarrassment of helpers here and they just want to experience the real Australia You will get help, learn about different cultures and have new fences built to get you back on your feet. All provided with a smile and encouragement.

Please don't think they won't help me, this isn't in their charter, as coordinator I am hopeless to say no to helping so give us a call.

BlazeAid Stanthorpe is the place to be if you want attitude, accommodation, banquets and to help others. We have a beautiful campground, fabulous volunteers, amazing support and we would love to welcome some more team leaders and grey nomads, but all volunteers are welcome.

We thank Stanthorpe Lions Club for their generous support and special thanks to Colin for his efforts in mowing the grass. Champion effort Col, thank you.

We have some backpackers here feeling the cold so if anyone has some unused bedding to spare please give us a ring and we will come and get it.

Some of our backpackers have produced Spanish feasts, Italian banquets and this Saturday we would like to have a camp oven cook up but need to borrow a couple of large camp ovens. If you have a couple of large camp ovens you are not using this weekend please give Chris a ring on
0418 745 994 and we will collect them and return early next week.

We ask all in the farming community to contact us if you haven't heard from us recently. We have eager, competent volunteers here ready to assist disaster impacted granite belt property owners, reaching down into the Tenterfield area, Southern Downs community and surrounding areas. Please contact us and talk, with communication we can work together and help you.

Big month for BlazeAid Stanthorpe camp. Over 8.7 km of fences were built by the mix of international and grey nomad crews. Meanwhile just over 16km of fire damaged fences were removed.

Lots of work on some big properties to get done, will be needing a few experienced volunteers to help the international contingent learn the ropes.

Room for backpackers doing 88 days as well power and water for the caravaners and rv's
