Unfortunately, due to the ongoing shortage of available cattle, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Campdraft & Stockman's Challenge, which was scheduled for 15–16 August.
This certainly wasn't an easy decision. It's been an incredibly tough year for our local farmers, with very little rain across the region. We are so grateful to everyone who took our calls, offered support, and reminded us, "Let's hope for a better year next year." Those words mean so much, not just for the future of our event, but more importantly, for the livelihoods of the farming families who make our community what it is.
While this is disappointing, we're choosing to focus on the positives. Our recent 2-Day Gymkhana was a fantastic success and was only possible because of our incredible members, volunteers, families, sponsors and supporters. We couldn't be prouder of what our club achieved together.
The good news is that we've also secured some fantastic outside instructors for upcoming rally days later this year, so there's still plenty to look forward to! For our members, we also have something exciting in the pipeline for the weekend of 15–16 August, so stay tuned we're looking forward to sharing more details with you soon.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding. Here's hoping for some much-needed rain, brighter seasons ahead, and an exciting year in 2027.
