As your squad moves through the bush, every sound makes you wonder what's ahead. A snapped twig. A distant call. Movement in the trees.

Most of the time, it's nothing.

Then suddenly it isn't.

That's what makes combat simulation different. The suspense of the patrol, the trust in your team, and the adrenaline rush when contact finally kicks off.

On June 27 at Rowallan Scout Camp, experience a full day of immersive tactical gameplay.

What's your tagger of choice?

🔹 SMG – Fast firing and ideal for aggressive players who like getting close to the action.

🔹 R1 – The all-rounder. Reliable, versatile, and a great choice for new players.

🔹 Pred MkII – An assault rifle with an underslung shotgun attachment for maximum flexibility.

🔹 LMG / SAW – High-capacity support weapons built to suppress the enemy and support your team's advance.

🔹 SL8 – A designated marksman rifle for players who prefer precision, patience, and long-range engagements.

When you register, you'll have the opportunity to nominate your preferred tagger. Availability is limited, so getting your registration in early gives you the best chance of securing your first choice.

On June 27 at Rowallan Scout Camp, you’ll experience a full day of immersive gameplay built around teamwork, communication, and tactical objectives. Patrol through bushland with your squad, react to changing situations, and work together to get the job done.

Never played before? That’s no issue. New players are always welcome, tagger hire is included, and our community will help get you up to speed quickly.

Never been to a VLSA event before? Here’s how your deployment starts:

✅ Check in at registration and collect your tagger, “blood” ribbon, and hat if needed
✅ Test your gear on the target range
✅ Gear up at your car and return for the new player briefing
✅ Attend the safety briefing and get assigned to a team
✅ Meet your squad, learn the mission… then step off

It’s all designed to get new players into the game quickly and confidently.

No experience needed, just bring the right attitude.

New AO spotlight: Harkaway Scout Camp
📍 October 3

Dense bush. Tight sightlines. Constant pressure.

Harkaway is a field where awareness and communication become everything. Thick undergrowth and limited movement routes mean firefights can erupt fast and from unexpected angles. The property also includes a central grouping of buildings that can be played around.

This -focused deployment will reward squads that stay switched on, react quickly, and move together under pressure.

New AO spotlight: Dallas Brooks Scout Park
📍 September 19

Huge terrain. Long sight lines. Creek crossings. Ridgelines.

Dallas Brooks is a field that rewards communication, tactical movement, and smart use of terrain. Teams that maneuver well will dominate the fight, while careless movement will get punished fast.

This isn’t just a field for charging forward. It’s a field for patrols, formations, overwatch, and coordinated squad play. Dallas Brooks includes 5 buildings, some which are enterable.

First teams on the ground may gain the advantage for years to come.

Two new fields are joining the VLSA rotation!

📍 September 19 — Dallas Brooks Scout Park
A huge AO built for tactical movement, patrol formations, long sight lines, and coordinated squad play. Creek crossings, ridgelines, and open forest terrain will reward teams that maneuver intelligently.

📍 October 3 — Harkaway Scout Camp
Dense bushland, tight sight lines, and constant pressure. A more intense skirmish environment where awareness, communication, and quick reactions will shape the fight.

Two completely different challenges.
Same teamwork-driven gameplay.

Save the dates. Both fields situated east of and under an hours drive from the CBD.

Two new locations are being added to the VLSA calendar.

Different terrain. Different challenges. Different styles of gameplay.

One field rewards long-range teamwork and tactical movement.
The other forces close-range communication and fast reactions under pressure.

Both will make their debut later this year and are less than an hour away from the CBD.
