Today, FF Bowen and FF Kuzevski had the privilege of spending time at one of our local schools; a reminder that the role of a firefighter goes far beyond emergency response. Connecting with students throughout the year allows us to build something incredibly important: trust.

When we walk into classrooms we’re there to talk about fire safety, answer questions, and help students feel prepared. But what we’re really building is connection. The kind that helps kids feel safe when they see us. The kind that shows them we are part of their everyday community not just the moments of emergency. Opportunities like today strengthen the relationship between Station 4 and the schools we serve. They create space for conversations about kindness, responsibility, leadership and looking out for one another - values that matter just as much as safety education.

For students these visits help build confidence, familiarity, and a sense of comfort. For us, they are a powerful reminder of why community presence matters.

Being visible.
Being approachable.
Being leaders and role models.

We’re proud to support our schools, to stand alongside educators and to invest in the next generation through connection, education, and trust. Because strong communities are built long before an emergency happens.

🥜🔥 St. Andrews Firefighters Association – Peanut Butter Drive Update 🔥🥜

This community never fails to show up when it matters.
Together, we collected 1,784 jars of peanut butter for the Agape Centre — at a time when the need is greater than ever.

A huge thank-you to Royal LePage Performance Realty Cornwall Royal LePage Performance Cornwall & Area for hosting the Peanut Butter Challenge again this year. We were honoured and excited to make such a meaningful donation on behalf of our township and our neighbours.

We also want to recognize the incredible group of youth and students who helped deliver flyers throughout our community. Your energy, kindness, and willingness to help made a real impact — thank you for stepping up.

To our dedicated firefighters and volunteers who handled pickups, drop-offs, sorting, and organizing: thank you. Your commitment behind the scenes made this entire drive possible.

And to every resident who donated a jar — whether one or many — thank you for your generosity. You helped feed families who truly needed it.

🚒 St. Andrews Fire Department – Peanut Butter Collection Day Reminder! 🥜

Tomorrow is collection day, and we want to remind all residents of St. Andrews that our firefighters will be out going door-to-door starting around 10 a.m. If you received a flyer/bag, just place your peanut butter outside for pickup — we’ll take care of the rest!

We’re incredibly thankful for the generosity we’ve seen so far. This is our final weekend for pickups and your support means the world to us.

Don’t forget, there’s still a drop-off bin outside the St. Andrews Fire Hall for anyone who prefers to donate directly.

We’re aiming to take the title in the Peanut Butter Challenge hosted by Royal LePage Performance Cornwall & Area but at the end of the day, the real victory is seeing our community come together to support those who need it most at The Agape Centre.

🚒 South Stormont Fire Peanut Butter Challenge – Prep Day! 🥜🔥

Today, our South Stormont Station 4 firefighters are teaming up with amazing local student volunteers to deliver flyers and bags throughout the community — all in preparation for the Peanut Butter Pickup on Saturday, November 22nd!

This year, we’re once again taking part in the Royal LePage Performance Realty Peanut Butter Challenge — and we’re aiming to keep our title as reigning champs for the most peanut butter collected! 💪

We’re asking residents to fill the bags with peanut butter to help support local families in need via The Agape Center. Every jar helps us make a difference — and keeps South Stormont at the top of the leaderboard! 🏆

🚒 Station 4 St. Andrews – Peanut Butter Challenge 2025! 🥜

Today marks Day 1 of the Peanut Butter Challenge hosted by Royal LePage Performance Realty Cornwall, and Station 4 St. Andrews is fired up to defend our title as reigning champs! 🏆

We’re calling on our amazing community to help us fill those jars and meet our goal again this year. Every jar donated supports a great cause. All donations will go directly to the Agapè Centre in Cornwall, helping local families in need. ❤️

📍 How to Donate:
• A collection bin is now set up outside Station 4 in St. Andrews — drop off your jars anytime!
• Saturday, November 8th: Our firefighters and local students will be out delivering reminder flyers and donation bags.
• Saturday, November 22nd: We’ll return door-to-door to collect your peanut butter donations.
