Syd Errol’s family warmly invite LGBTIQ youth, their families, friends, and the wider community to come together to honor and remember Syd’s life.

Syd was a vibrant, courageous young person who attended Lisarow High School until five years ago. On June 3, 2021, at just 14 years old, Syd’s life was tragically lost to su***de. His passing left an immeasurable void in the hearts of his family, whose grief was deepened by the knowledge that he faced bullying and discrimination from peers and from adults simply for being who he was.

This is a moment for community who never met him to celebrate Syd: his spirit, his bravery, and the light he brought into the world. It is also a moment to recommit—to kindness, to acceptance, and to ensuring that every young person knows they are seen, valued, and loved.

Its more than likely you don’t know Syd, this invitation highlights his LGBITQ is experience as a young LGBTIQ person attempting to grow up on Central Coast NSW.

Everyone welcome

This will be a space for Community Connection: Quiet corners for reflection, alongside space to connect, mingle.

We kindly ask attendees to register in advance so we can ensure space and care for all who attend.

A gentle, supportive workshop for LGBTQ+ communities and people living with HIV.

Grief touches all of us — but how we experience it is shaped by our culture, identity, and lived experience. This workshop offers space to explore what grief takes from us, what it can teach us, and how we can better support ourselves and each other.

Open to all le***an, gay, bi+, trans and q***r (LGBTQ+) people (18+) and people living with HIV.
Note: personal losses won’t be explored in depth.
