Plenty to be proud of. Plenty to celebrate đź–¤

As we get closer to the end of the year, we’re looking forward to bringing our MOB families together to celebrate our boys and how far they’ve come.

From the commitment and brotherhood shown on the court and field to the effort put into learning new skills and working towards their futures, there’s been a lot happening across MOB.

We’d love you to join us for our upcoming celebrations:

🏆 2026 Sports Awards Ceremony: Recognising our boys across Futsal, Rugby League and Basketball.

On the court with our Year 7 boys! 🎾

PE is giving our youngest MOB brothers plenty of opportunities to get active and have a go at something new.

Alongside tennis, the boys are exploring jiu-jitsu, rugby, surf lifesaving, breakdancing and gym workouts, learning from community instructors along the way.

Our Year 11 students will also take on officiating roles during sporting activities with Year 7, giving the boys more opportunities to connect and learn from each other.

There’s plenty happening beyond the tennis court. More to come!

Culture, Community & Connection

Our boys enjoyed a special day at Cultural Connect, an event bringing young people together to celebrate culture, connect with their community and explore future opportunities.

Beginning with a Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country led by local Elders, the day offered opportunities for respect, learning and shared experiences.

The boys met local service providers and learnt about Transition to Work programs, along with pathways into further study, training and employment.

There were plenty of great conversations and laughs as they spent time with local youth leaders. Seeing the boys comfortable, engaged and open to meeting new people was a real highlight.

A day filled with culture, conversations and new connections, reminding us of the important role community plays in supporting our young people.

MOB LIFE | YEAR 12

Leaving school is a big step. Alongside the excitement, there are new responsibilities, unfamiliar situations and plenty of things to work out along the way.

Through MOB Life, our staff are giving our Year 12 boys time to talk through what’s ahead, with support from guest speakers who bring their own stories and experiences into the room.

We recently welcomed Melissa McGuinness from You Choose Programs Youth Road Safety. Melissa shared a deeply personal message about choices, accountability and the impact our actions can have on other people.

Her message asks young people to think about who they want to be as drivers, passengers and mates. To care enough to speak up when something feels unsafe, and to recognise that looking after your friends sometimes means having an uncomfortable conversation.

We also welcomed Queensland Police Service for a practical conversation about staying safe online, protecting personal information and thinking carefully about who we connect with and what we share.

Our staff keep these conversations going, checking in with the boys, answering questions and helping them make sense of what it all means in their own lives.

We’re getting ready to celebrate another huge year of MOB sport 🏆

MOB families are invited to join us for our 2026 Sports Awards Ceremony as we recognise the commitment, growth and brotherhood shown across Futsal, Rugby League and Basketball.

It’s a chance to celebrate the wins, the work behind the scenes and the way our boys have represented their MOB family throughout the year.
