📢 Exciting News for the Australian Dog Community!

Dogs Australia and the American Kennel Club (AKC) have officially entered into a Mutual Cooperation Agreement, strengthening the relationship between the two organisations and creating new opportunities for collaboration.

This partnership will focus on:
🐾 Responsible breeding and dog ownership
🐾 Canine health and research
🐾 Education for breeders, judges, exhibitors and officials
🐾 Dog sports and exhibitions
🐾 Promoting purebred dogs as valued family companions

The agreement will allow both organisations to share knowledge, resources and best practices, helping to strengthen the future of purebred dogs and dog sports in both Australia and the United States.

Our July/August edition of Canine News is here! 🐾

This edition's front cover captures the Dogs West State Agility Trials, held across 30–31 May and completed on 6 June following severe weather that interrupted the second day of competition.

Despite the unexpected challenges, the event was successfully completed thanks to the incredible teamwork, flexibility and positive attitude of our organisers, judges, volunteers and competitors. Thank you to everyone who played a part in making the event such a success.

The images featured throughout this edition showcase the atmosphere, excitement and camaraderie of the State Agility Trials. They are general photographs of the event and are not intended to represent specific results, classes or individual achievements.

As Dogs Queensland continues to evolve within a changing community and economic environment, the organisation recognises the need to develop a contemporary, robust and forward-looking strategic plan. This plan will guide the organisation’s direction, strengthen its governance and service delivery, and ensure it continues to effectively support its members and the broader canine community over the next [e.g., 3–5] years.

This Request for Tender (RFT) for the Provision of Strategic Planning Services for the Canine Control Council (Queensland) Ltd invites experienced and qualified consultants to submit proposals for the development of a comprehensive and actionable strategic plan for Dogs Queensland.
