Racing and Wagering WA is committed to ensuring that the best levels of care are given to greyhounds throughout all stages

of their lives, through a program of investment, education, monitoring and regulation. If you are interested in fostering or adopting a greyhound, please complete an application form via www.greyhoundsaspets.com.au/ways-to-adopt/ and the GAP team will be in touch. Please note GAP operates as Appointment Only, no walk-ins.

Alien is playful, confident, outgoing and ready to explore the universe by your side! Alien could share his mothership with a large doggie ‘sibling’ or fellow greyhound who enjoy a bold explorer in their orbit.

Meet Alien, male, born 27 April 2022.

Alien has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats. He can be enthusiastic with toys and play, so his ideal humans are nine years old or older, people who are okay with him zooming around like a little rocket. Alien can spend up to three hours alone, and with another dog or training he may be able to extend that time. Alien would love to go on one or two 20‑minute spacewalks, giving him the chance to chart new territories and keep his sensors calibrated before he returns to bed to refuel. Alien’s favourite earthly treasure is balls, he loves to zoom after them and would LOVE you to throw them for him.

Alien is a lively, social star ready to beam his way into the right home and join their crew.

Yogi is a soft, soulful sweetheart with big zen energy and a heart full of gentle intention.

Meet Yogi, male, born 2 October 2020.

Yogi can be a little unsure at first but give him a moment to settle onto his mat and you’ll see his calm, affectionate nature unfold like warrior pose. Yogi can share his “studio” with doggie siblings of any size from tiny “puppy poses” to tall “mountain pose” companions. Yogi has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats, so no cat pose please! Because he can be a little shy around loud, boisterous energetic tots, Yogi would do best in a home where all humans are nine years or older. Yogi can stay home alone for up to three hours and with canine company and training, he may be able to extend that, like deepening a stretch over time. Exercise is relaxed and balanced, one or two 20 minute walks a day are perfect. He walks beautifully on leash, moving alongside you like a calm and steady breath.
Gentle, kind and quietly blossoming, Yogi is a sweet soul ready to find his forever “flow” and home where he can nama-stay.

Just as leggy and handsome, but not as tall as his namesake, Horse is ready to trot into his forever home.

Meet Horse, Male, Born 24/01/2021.

Looking for your new mane man? Horse is friendly, social and just the right amount of cheeky. Preferring his herd to be two-legged Horse would suit life as a solo ‘hound, but he is happy to have large doggy visitors. Horse has not been assessed as suitable to live with cats. Horse’s two-legged herd members could include those from nine years old. Horse is happy to keep himself occupied for up to six hours while his humans are off on their own adventures. Horse has pet-life experience and so will settle easily into his people’s routines. Horse is a gentle boy who loves his walks and will provide loving companionship to his forever family.

Don’t walk, canter on in to submit your application and adopt this sweet boy.

Dino is a Jurassic legend, playful, friendly, social and confident.

Meet Dino, male, born 16 May 2022.

He’s got big triceratops enthusiasm, heart as big as a brontosaurus, and just a touch of cheeky raptor energy when playtime kicks off. Dino could share his “dig site” with doggie siblings of any size, from tiny ammonites to large brachiosaurus. Dino has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats. Because he’s a big boy and can get excited during play, he’d prefer a home where all the little palaeontologists are nine years or older. Dino can stay home alone for up to three hours and with canine company and training, that time may be able to extend as he settles. Exercise is classic greyhound style, one or two 20 minute walks a day will keep Dino’s tail swinging like an ankylosaurus. This handsome boy loves being right in the middle of things, supervising like the most enthusiastic archaeologist.
Playful, people loving and bursting with prehistoric charm, Dino is a confident, friendly hound who’s ready to stomp straight into his forever home.
