Artlas Việt Nam-Australia

25/10/2026

On 14 October, Artlas had an amazing time joining International Vietnamese Students at UoM 🇻🇳 at the International Expo hosted by UMSU International at The University of Melbourne!

It was lovely to meet students from different backgrounds, share more about what we do at Artlas, and connect with a community of young people bringing their ideas, energy, and passion to make a difference.

A huge thank you to IVSUM and UMSU International for having us, and to everyone who stopped by to say hi and show support! 🤍

We are proud to announce that Artlas Foundation has been selected for the 2026 Peter McPhee Community Impact Grant for our initiative: Books Across Mountains: Vietnam Education Access Initiative.

Access to quality English-learning resources remains a challenge for many primary and secondary schools in remote and mountainous areas of Vietnam. Thanks to our key partner Operation Stitches, we have access to up to 500kg of donated books, and this grant provides the crucial logistics and freight support needed to get them into the hands of over 11,000 students across 12+ schools.

We extend our sincere gratitude to The University of Melbourne The University of Melbourne and the selection panel for believing in our mission! 🤍

We’re also heading to Vietnam in 2027 for school visits, and we’ll be calling for volunteers soon. Follow for latest news and updates!

ARTLAS x OPERATION STITCHES | THAI NGUYEN VISIT 💌

In 2025, Artlas had the opportunity to visit Nha Long Primary School and donate our first collection of books. One year later, we returned to Nha Long to continue that journey — this time with further support for English teaching and learning at the school.

With the generous support from the Operation Stitches, 3 touchscreen laptops, 3 classroom speakers and 3 teaching microphones, with a total value of VND 76,815,000, were provided. These new resources will help integrate technology into the classroom, making English lessons more engaging, interactive, and practical.

We were also grateful to have the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee under the Vietnam Fatherland Front accompany Artlas on our visit and support us throughout the trip.

Building on last year’s book donation, we hope these new learning tools will give students more opportunities to learn, practice and grow more confident using English every day. 🌱

Some partnerships go beyond books, they become friendships, shared dreams, and a belief that every child deserves the chance to learn. ❤️📚

We’re incredibly grateful to Chris and Patrick for opening the doors of Operation Stitches to Artlas and walking alongside our young team since 2025. Together, we’ve helped bring around 220kg of English books to six remote and disadvantaged schools across Vietnam, reaching an estimated 5,000+ students. 🇻🇳

For us, it’s a privilege to learn from your generosity, experience and unwavering commitment to giving children more opportunities. Thank you for believing in us, trusting our young team, and showing us what a meaningful partnership can look like.

ARTLAS VIET NAM-AUSTRALIA partnering with Operation Stitches to make a difference in the lives of "farm school" students out from Hanoi - what a privilege....
Thank you An, Danny and team for all you do for the children of Vietnam!

Last year, Artlas gifted 220kg of books, reached 6 schools, made 9 trips, and impacted 5000+ children. As The Little Prince says, “What is essential is invisible to the eye,” and for us, that lives in the moments behind the numbers.

We’re grateful for all the support we’ve received throughout the year. We’d especially like to thank Operation Stitches for your generous support and belief in our mission.

We also sincerely appreciate the support and coordination from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, along with the dedicated teachers at our partner schools, whose efforts made these journeys possible.

2025 showed us what’s possible, and in 2026, we’re aiming even bigger. If you’d like to support, collaborate, or get involved, please DM us or send us an email.
