The wonderful work created by the students of has brought so much joy to our residents. Over the past few weeks, the students have spent time listening to their life stories and beautifully transforming them into a special book. We are truly grateful for their kindness, creativity, and dedication.
Thank you, St Monica’s—we are so proud of this project and look forward to many more together.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make the Reopening of the Chapel Mass on Sunday, 22 March 2026 so special for our residents.

A big thank you to our clinical staff for helping our residents look and feel their best, and to the Samoan Choir for bringing beautiful harmony to the celebration.

We are grateful to our Sisters, Fr Luciano, and Fr Emilio for their guidance, and to our Maintenance team for the wonderful chapel refurbishment, which received many compliments.

And a warm thank you to Dee for the delicious sausage sizzle enjoyed by all.

Oh, what a beautiful afternoon we had today. With it being Shrove Tuesday, our residents came together to enjoy some delicious, fluffy pancakes, sharing stories, smiles, and a lovely sense of togetherness. It’s moments like these that make our days extra special. 🫶🏼

As we finish off the year, we had one more special thing we wanted to do with our residents before Christmas — and that was to take them out to see the Christmas lights. Our residents were delighted to hop on the bus & admire the beautiful displays created by the houses in the area and enjoy a lovely evening ride together.

On behalf of all the staff at San Carlo, we wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a safe, happy New Year.

San Carlo Homes for the Aged community recently experienced a day of grace and joy as residents embarked on a Jubilee Year pilgrimage to St Luke’s in Lalor. Despite the challenging weather, five buses and several family cars set out with unwavering spirit.

Parish priest Rev Fr Luciano Toldo greeted the group and introduced them to St Luke’s parishioners. The smiles and sense of connection were priceless - many residents cherished the chance to reunite with old friends and feel part of the wider faith community once again.

For many San Carlo residents, it was an experience that became the spiritual pinnacle of this Jubilee Year. As we approach the end of this Holy Year, may hope and renewed faith guide us forward.

As you may know, last week we held two wonderful nights of Christmas Carols at San Carlo. This was our very first time hosting such an event, thanks to the fantastic suggestion from our CEO, Ron.

Family members joined us with baskets of goodies and picnic rugs, enjoying a beautiful evening with their loved ones while singing their hearts out to classic Christmas carols. As the night got darker, the gardens truly came alive, glowing with stunning Christmas lights and the Nativity scene that the Sisters lovingly created with great care and dedication.

It was a truly special experience and one we are proud to say will become an annual tradition. We hope you can continue to share these special moments with us each year.

A heartfelt thank you to our entertainers and singers, staff (& the sisters) family members, residents, sound system team, and to Nick Lomardo for generously allowing us to use his retro red car as Santa’s sleigh.

We wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year during this festive season.

Over the weekend, our residents enjoyed a special sneak peek of what’s to come at this week’s San Carlo Christmas Carols on Wednesday and Friday. (10th & 12th December)
A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful Filipino and Indonesian choir, who have dedicated so much time and effort to make this event truly unforgettable.
We also extend our gratitude to our marvellous staff member Thelma and to the Sisters for bringing everyone together.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you all this week!
