Calligraphy Summer School in Winter The 'Summer School in Winter' is an annual event that features international tutors and attracts participants from around Australia and New Zealand.

It is hosted by the Calligraphy Society of Victoria and held in Melbourne, Australia. The Calligraphy Society of Victoria's members include professional lettering artists, commercial calligraphers, tutors and hobbyists and their interests range from the most traditional types of calligraphy, to contemporary and experimental forms. We're nearly there! Our international tutors have all arrived, hopefully recovering from their very loooooong journeys. We've had some unexpected last minute challenges but as per usual, the SSiW organisers have pulled through and we are ready to welcome you all!

The artworks for the CSV exhibition are now on display at the SSiW venue. Thank you to the committee members who worked on organising, framing and hanging the works. And to all of you who made such a diverse range of stunning pieces.

Are you all excited? SSiW is only a month away!

Please note that all dinner events are now full to capacity so we are finalising arrangements with the venues and caterers. This means we will not be taking any more bookings to those events.

If you know anyone still interested in attending the workshops, please sign up as soon as possible. There are very few spots left in some of the workshops.

Several of the society members have been working tirelessly organising workshops, banking payments and bookings, liaising with tutors, organising classrooms, caterers for functions, accommodation bookings and much much more. Keep an eye out for the postman. Confirmation packages are coming out very soon!
