It’s been three years now that I’ve done these Easter and Christmas bake sales. Since 2021, you’ve collectively bought 990 hot cross buns and 442 mini panettones, and we’ve donated $7,274 in total ($3,241 to the Australian Red Cross, $4,033 to The Smith Family) – I’ve been blown away by your support. 🥰

I’ve decided to take a break this year so I can plan some travel without worrying about my baking schedule. 😅 Thank you so much for your enthusiasm for my baked goods – it’s been a dream to have the chance to run my little nano bakery over the last few years. 🥹🥖✨

And that’s it for this Christmas! 🎉🥲 This last bake sale was sold out again, and we donated another $430 to – this brings our total donations this Christmas to $1,560.

When a child grows up in poverty they can often fall behind in learning, leaving them more vulnerable to experiencing hardship later in life. Supporting a child’s education helps empower them to create a better future for themselves and break this cycle of poverty. Last year 162,543 children and young people received support through The Smith Family’s learning programs.

After many test runs over the last few months, we are just about ready for our Christmas bake sales!

This year we’re doing our mini panettone in a new flavour – strawberry gum and blueberry ✨

We will be donating all proceeds from our sales to to help support the education of disadvantaged children in Australia so that they can break out of the cycle of poverty.

That’s a wrap for Easter! With today’s bake we donated another $270 to the Refugee and Asylum Seeker Appeal – this brings the total donated this Easter to $1,018. 🥳

Every day, refugees and people seeking asylum go to the Red Cross for assistance – our donations help provide necessities like food and housing, foster community connections, and create opportunities for someone to build a new life.

And we’re off – the first bake sale for this Easter is done! We’ve just made a donation of $172 to – thanks to everyone who ordered! 🤗

We’re sold out both days next week, but there’s still a handful left for Good Friday if anybody is still keen 🥖🐰✨

We’re back! Easter really crept up on us, but we’ve now updated our website (link in bio) for sourdough hot cross bun orders. As usual you’ll be able to order online for pick-up in South Melbourne on selected dates.

We’ll of course be making our traditional HCBs, and this year we’re also making a slightly darker date and walnut (with a hint of coffee) version. Both flavours are available on each of the sale dates.

We’ll be donating every cent from the sales and donations to to help provide refugees and people seeking asylum with everyday essentials while they get back on their feet.
